Well, the problem is that once it leaves the dev's hands and they sell it as a product with ****ING DAY ONE DLC it is no longer art and can thus be changed by consumer demand.

That, and we were blatantly lied to, breaking the reader-writer contract.

no one said you must buy it... or did they?

I highlighted the important bit of that for you.

People don't seem to get what that term means.

If you don't regard the game as art, then there's no reader-writter contract. For it to exist, the product has to be a literary work (art).

Mike wanted you to imagon the ending, much of what you must do with books.

Whether I imagine a doomsday galactic dark age scenario or see it really doesn't make a difference. It sucks either way.

Can't agree more. I'm sorry Reno but you know what I do with my imagination? I imagine the whole last 10 minutes of ME didn't happen.

God if only those ten minutes were imaginary.:innocent:

By destroying the universe? really?

[/quote] I never sed I didn't hate the ending hell I see the plot holes and everything, it was a stupide way to end it and it was clearly rushed for that, Mike just simply wanted a way for it to end so more fanfics will come out i guess

Projecting again. I didn't say it was violated.

Also, for your other post:

Again, implied. Lord, do you need every single one of my thoughts spelled out in terms that a three year old can digest or something?

Art is for the people. Paying for it makes it a commodity.

Art is from the creator, not the people.

I... what?

A creator makes a art pice with all his meaning, intenchons and symbolioms and puts it out for people to see. The people then view this art and try to make there own view of the art or see what the creator has made. It wasnt made FOR the people or BY the people.

Except the artist didn't promise multiple versions of the "art" he had created, and had boasted to everyone that the people who viewed it could shape its outcome.

Or maybe some off us see the blanket statement of what is or isn't art wrong on both sides.   That art is malable and can be changed

Still kinda waiting for clarification on my last question, all I got was a negative description about what art is or what consumer products are. <_<

Which one? Sorry this thread is moving WAY too fast to keep up and comment at the same time.

From Lugaidster, he just told me what it wasn't rather than what it is, and judging from his posts a few lines back up, guessing he's more interested in trolling.

I understood this post!

If that was really his intention they should have made a happy ending possible. I love doing fanfic stuff, but doing so in a destroyed world... is kind of pointless.

Thats the hole point of the indotrination theroy, just as shepred got hit by the reapers beam a dream started.

Also Im a dislexic I really don't mind if you point out my spelling errors.

I don't want no bull**** fanfic about how Shepard was indoctrinated. I want to go up on the citadel blow the reapers the **** up, get off of it, go to Rannoch and enjoy a nice touching cutscene with my squad. Whether it just be all of us helping the reconstruction of Earth and other planets or seeing Shepard build a house for Tali. Or hell Renegade Shep and Garrus killing some mercs together while saying "Just like old times". I can do this with my head of course but dammit I want to see it in front of my eyes instead. (Or something different then the **** we got at least)

He held the line in my playthrough. Cause I let him kill me. Over and over. And over. Oh yes and over again.

Hahahaha, obvious? The question you were asked was "Then what is it then?" Not "what is it to you then?". Now you're just digging yourself into a hole, but keep going. I'm genuinely interested in seeing where you want to take this.

You asked for her opinion on something. When you wrote college papers, did you preface every supporting paragraph with "in my opinion?"

I get what you are saying, but he left no room at all for that. This is one of my major gripes with it. Besides, I believe the Relays being destroyed was only supposed to happen in one of the RGB choices.

Listen the endings are a mess and need to be cleaned up, I know they can do better.

Your going too clame down! Hell the hole "shepred was indoctrinated" was from the end of ME2. If the theroy is right, shepred was haveing a dream the hole time and just K.O.ed on the ground for a wile.

maybe the movement started on too strong of a word in "demand", but I don't see a problem in voicing our "suggestions".

Is art so sacred that audiences don't even have the right to suggest and critique? It just so happened that 40000+ people share similar opinions.
Why can't artists alter their art if they feel necessary? (to improve, to pander, etc)

I hear the National Gallery gave Bioware a call.

MoMA seems to be on the books, as is the Louvre.

Oh I personally have no issue with the DLC. It's a bit annoying but I can overlook that. I thought you meant the game itself.
