How can they even add closure? The amount of plotholes are so big you could fall into it.
They cant, but the fact that they seem to think they can is the exact reason you have the ending you do to begin with
The writing of the ending is so bad and amature that what they have basicaly done is taken a shotgun to the back of the head of the entire franchise filled it with hundreds of plot holes and are now going to try and sew it back together.

It's gonna be monumental task for them get out of this illogictrap that they wrote themeselves into.

They honestly cant, no matter what they do they have punched so many holes in the entire franchise that there is no way to salvage the ending without invalidating the previous games even more than the current ending does.

Showtime.
As I've said before in another thread. " There isn't enough popcorn in the universe for this".

By the hour I find myself questioning why the hell I bother with gaming in the first place...

Mass Effect is Bioware's main jewel in the crown, If I were top brass I'd be getting the team back together and pulling them off of goddamn TOR or wherever else the've been reassigned and do an expansion pack to address what I'd promised in development.
There still has been no explanation whatsover for the outright lies we were told to pre-order.
I don't want clarification and closure DLC, I want what I was promised and what I paid for.

Of course - you would need to float the QE2 into those holes to plug them - but if they can do it. Good.

Why is this a surprise, this is exactly what Ray said in his statement. No where did Bioware imply they were considering making new endings. It was all bad gaming press headline writing and wishful thinking.
Exactly correct but the problem is that tryign to explain the terrible endings they have written themselves into and actualy do anything but further outrage people is far more difficult than it would be for them to just rewrite the whole ending. The ending is so poorly done and full of plot holes not only in the ending itself but in the creation of completely new plots at the last 15 minutes of the game that have never been adressed prior to that and which totaly invalidate the plots of the previous games that there is absolutly no way to actualy make it fit together with the entire series without hand waving, space magic and "oh well he was lying when he said that" claims

I try to follow the practice of making decisions based on objective fact not speculation. Once I see what they say and provide, then I will decide about it and the endings.

I'll actually laugh if that's what BioWare was planning all along. The whole scene with the starchild took place in Shepard's mind and the "breathe" scene is him snapping out of it.
The issue with that of course is that we don't have any ending at all then.
Its either going to require a large content dump to have the 'actual' ending.
Or they leave it like that and leave lots of speculation but then the crux of the issue isn't resolved.
