I've only played SP (no MP at all) so my ratio is exactly 50%.  I'm playing an import from ME2 and just before I start the "point-of-no-return" mission I have max Paragon, and about 3500 EMS.

So, can I do a bit of MP grinding with my SP character to get by ratio up about 60% so my EMS is > 4000, then start the "point-of-no-return" mission with the higher ratio?

Or, do I have to do MP with a new level 1 character?  If so, will that still help my ratio in my original SP game?
