Don't fret though, Traynors 50 times more awesome and hotter. You made the right choice.
EDIT: I think you can still tell her leave if you dont wanna do the deed, however you can't romance anyone else.

Honestly don't think you can resolve it in your favor once you're on the final sequence, but I'm not positive. Do you have a previous save to help you fix it?
I don't think so, because I dutifully check in with every single crew member after every mission, but the option was never presented.

So, I cheated on Liara. Broke her heart. Not pretty. When she confronted me, we agreed we would talk about it later. Conversation never took place. Now I'm about to assault the Illusive Man's lair and Traynor drops by for a visit. I've got half a mind to kick her out of my cabin because I really want to go back to Liara. Without any spoilers if you would, is this at all possible? I feel genuinely guilty.
I felt the exact same way when I was just considering Traynor. In the end I decided the temporary wouldn't be worth it, if my Shep could survive ME2 alone she definitely wasn't cheating with her girl on the SHIP! I was simply going to create a new shep for Traynor...
That just never happened after the ending

Don't you get the choice during the conversation to say you'd rather be alone? That's what I got with my LI.
And this fixed things?
And no, no, no, Wattoes. Liara is the Shadow Broker. She is a woman of science. She is glorious.

Only 2 could have led me away... Jack and Tali... but while one was bi, she rejected my advances (WHY?????) and the other was not interested in women.
So... Liara had nothing to fear

With the sexual innuendos about the chess pieces, I though she at least liked guys.

Well you know what they say "once you go black there is no turning back".
I'm sure there is a saying for going blue as well.
"Once you go blue, you're stuck like glue".
