Sorry, I misunderstood.  I thought you were just concerned with telling Traynor to leave.  As for getting back with Liara, I don't think that's possible at this point in the game.  However, there's a scene with you and Liara later on that you might enjoy (unless you've already played the game once, in which case you know about it)

One of the things that I liked with the ME series, was exploring dialogue. Not knowing how a chat was going to go, I would always make a save, if possible. In the case of Allers, as a FemShep, I made a pass at her in my cabin, and her final line to me was, "tonight". Nothing ever transpired after that. Anyone else try Allers?

Sorry mate, you could try but I'm not positive that you can go back to Liara. I think if you cheat on her in ME2 you can, but only if you establish early on that you want a relationship with her.

She'll only sleep with you if you're not romanced and it doesn't lock you in a romance either.

If you choose the renegade dialogue while Traynor borrows your shower, you just go on to play chess like normal.

Same & Same, it just almost impossible after you romance her once to stray. And I think the Shadow Broker mission makes being loyal in ME2 worth it
