I'm going to try even speculating about the ending before I see it, same way I handled ME3. That said, I don't mind depressing endings. I've heard the Paradox Endings thing is really cool, so i'll just have to see how it all works out.
All of the announcements for FF13-2 have encouraged me to go back and try to beat the super-boss in FF13 (I still have like, 1/3rd of the l'cie stone missions to do first). So, as maybe one of the only like 3 other jrpg fans on this board I expect you to wish me luck.
Not only few jrpg fans, but even fewer FF XIII fans. Despite selling so well, it's very popular to hate the series.
Take luck.
You sure it's selling well? Last I heard, the game took a serious sales hit in Japan due to the middling reviews.

I love FF13, but I have no delusions personally. It didn't do as well critically or financially as I feel it should of, and as of now it's critical response is around the same place as Dragonage 2. (DA2: 81 FFXIII: 83 on Metacritic). Square is also taking a lot of losses after the FF14 MMO debacle.

I haven't followed the FF series in years. Last one I played start to finish was FFVI on emulator (I watched a playthrough of XIII-2 online). Square either needs to go back to basics or reboot the series - it's just gotten out of hand.

I'm sure it'll have a better ending than that Mass Effect 3 game had.
Depends on how you feel about endings. If you can stand an ending that is completely depressing, and renders the entire game void, while at the same time being predicted during the game, then you might like it.

Well, Wikipedia DOES call it the fastest-selling title of the series, so...

They could totally work this. FF13 takes place on some random pre-spaceflight planet with human life and etremely potent biotics.
I'd buy that DLC. "Shepard, we must fight the SPACE MOLBORO"

And oddly enough, LegendaryBlade or anyone who hasn't played FF XIII-2, the ending (both the initial ending, and the end of the timeline) is possibly the most mind-blowing part of the game.
Yep...mindblowingly bad.
Cheesy J-pop, followed by mood whiplash, followed by everything being rendered pointless, and (if you get all the bonus content) the villain laughs at the player and says his plans are going to their next phase.
Bravo.

If you weren't paying attention, I can understand how you would think that.
The ending was predicted during the game. Heck, you even have a voiceover during the ending from earlier in the game.
The ending was beautiful. I hated what happened, but it was beautifully done.
But I wasn't talking about that. i was talking about the part...after the ending. Hard to explain without giving it away.

Don't worry, I won't say it. Have to go anyway.
Anyway, enjoy FF XIII and XIII-2.

That said: that particular DLC is, in my opinion, crap. If it does not contain a mission/story addition, then it's worthless for me. I don't buy "costume" DLC usually because I find those a tad ridiculous...

FFXIII sold loads FFXIII-2 not so many.
I actually don't like FFXIII very much, but can't really say there is much wrong with it. On the other hand I loved FFXIII-2 to bits. It's a very interesting game, which has a bit of everything I spent hours just catching monsters for fun or messing around with paradox effects.
FFXIII on the other hand was very linear and had little to break up the game, no large population areas or things like that.
I don't care much for the DLC I'll stick to the Sarah and Lightning swimsuit editions. But FF is very popular in Japan so it's no suprise ME3 is trying to hang on it's coat tails.
But I don't think it offers much to the Japanese market that they don't do 10 times better anyway.
