The ending was predicted during the game. Heck, you even have a voiceover during the ending from earlier in the game.
The ending was beautiful. I hated what happened, but it was beautifully done.
But I wasn't talking about that. i was talking about the part...after the ending. Hard to explain without giving it away.
Yes, I was paying attention, and I understood the plot fine. It doesn't change the idiocy of the fact that (without going into spoilers) a character shows up for no reason, and the event that the characters spent the entire game working to avoid happens anyway, rendering all of their work pointless. Sure, from a visual perspective it was quite beautiful. That's it.
The only thing this and ME3's ending have in common is that they both end with tacit admissions to buy more content to flesh out the story more. XIII-2's just more brazen about it, that's all.
