A minor glitch - in the OC, on entering Genitivi's house in Denerim, all the walls, floors and ceilings were black (Graphics=NVIDIA GeForce 8700M GT).
The furniture and other props in the level art looked normal, and the designer objects in the area were playable.
I'd been running DA for quite a while, and had started to notice that saves were getting a bit slow.
The problem cleared when I restarted DA and entered the house again.

All mobile cards are not supported by the game and they all cause the same issues.

I have the same issue on my laptop, but i wouldnt expect the situation to be cleared up any time soon

Thanks for that - it's only happened once in 50 hours of gameplay, so no big deal.

I am having this exact problem and other NPC's clothes are flickering with various solid colors and change when moving towards or away from them... then eventualy after 20 minutes or so, the game crashes to desktop... I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250. Reinstaling the game did not fix the issue.. any ideas anyone?

Fresh install the latest nvidia drivers... try lower graphics settings first.

I've had the "black room" thing a couple of times; I use an ATI 4890, so it's not confined to on-board cards. I'm not sure if it's coincidence, but around the last time it happened, a couple of things went missing from my inventory, so you might want to check everything's okay, or go back to your last good save if you're not entirely sure.

I found out the problem... For me anyway...I dissabled the NVIDIA PhysX GPU acceleration and it worked great. it also increased some graphics (shadows & Long distant rendering/lighting) and increased FPS rate. Hope this helps anyone else with this problem.

Thanks - I'll look at that. So far, I've only had one instance each of black walls and crash-to-desktop in almost 100 hours of gameplay.

I get this in every building in Denerim, the individual objects are fine but the walls and floor are black.

I'm running an Nvidia 9800 GTX, Q6600 CPU and 4Gb of ram.
