I hope they will step up to the plate, swallow their pride and deliver. However, the cynic in me tells me that this is not going to happen.

I don't believe it a pride thing IMO. All they have to do is what any sucessful business would do. Deliver the product they said they would. That's all the PAYING customers wants.

If they could swallow their pride in the name of successful business, they would have already admitted flat out that this whole ending was a fiasco and a mistake.

I very much doubt that, or else they would have said that from the get go. They also wouldnt have had Dr.ray make a comment to try to get people to relax

Bravo, Bioware. That's precisely what we want. Middle-of-the-game DLC that 'explains' things. Worthless.

Well they did say they would "clarify" the endings or what not.

Yeah... clarifying is a problem. It's hard to clarify space magic.

Except that that this is exactly what it appears like they're doing. They confirmed on twitter that they're working on "clarification endings" -- probably along the likes of "This is why the ending actually DID make sense, guys! *trollface*"

I'm totally expecting a horrible joke on April 1st.

April 1st is my stay away from the internet day I do not go online at all I have done that for over 5 years now.

Same here except I always check Blizards website. But thats the only one
I doubt it would be an April 1st joke considering we were promised by Dr.ray something. having someone that major to make a statement for a joke seems really stupid

I expect this to have all been a huge PR stunt, and the overwhelming evidence for indoctrination to be correct. Don't see why not. PAX is only 3 weeks after the worldwide release, and it gives them sufficient time to (as they say) let everyone finish the game.

Also:

>Haemorrhaging money due to TOR
>Blockbuster game coming out
>Make everybody buy it on release
>Keep working on the ending EA made them rush post-certification process
>Media picks up all the anger
>Players who have never heard of ME are now buying due to hype and curiosity
>Forbes and Business Insider are talking about it
>Metacritic score is dramatically divided
>Fox news talks about it
>CNN talks about it
>Don't lose anywhere near as much as they make, as autists aren't returning the game.
>Fans send pressure
>Shouting "Hold the line" is doing all the PR work for them
>Fans bring worldwide attention to a product they want changing
>Bioware raking it in due to fans
>Bioware suddenly change's the ending (No company would ever decide upon doing this that fast)
>"Bioware is teh best for listening to their fans YAY"
>April 1st: "Got ya! Here's the real ending!"
>Casey Hudson: "I don't want Mass Effect to be forgotten"
>Internet gets Tali-Zorah Vas Told

I would like for it to be mindblowingly awesome. My expectations are not so high. Next to no effort to try and placate us most likely,

If this were true, and an awesome ending came out of it? I would be happy. Hands down.

Prove me wrong BioWare.

Ditto, I don't expect them to put much effort into new endings or any at all, at this point my faith in BW is gone, and my desire to have further business with them is even more so...if that's possible at this point. The way they made the endings was just lazy and an insult to the fans as a whole.

Not if the indoctrination theory is proven true, then that would pretty much clarify and explain the endings.  Any residual plotholes that resulted would also be explained.  Though there wouldn't be that many.

WOW, how do i put this nicely. I don't need them to CLARIFY the endings. We want more options than just "wow, are we ever f***ed (ending blue)", "Wow are we ever f***ed (ending green)", "Wow are we ever f***ed, but I think I lived if I played MP(ending red)".  Clarifying something that is hated by so many fans DOES NOT MAKE IT BETTER. Other options would make it better.

I hate the endings, but Indoc does ruin it for those who liked it.
'Oh you liked those endings? Sorry, but they never actually happened, and really aren't the endings at all. Sorry!'
You also assume everyone likes Indoc. Many don't.
I want either the simple staple on 'Refuse to act' DLC which lets the fleets fight the Reapers, and explains things a bit more, for less than $5.
I want a full on optional 'Alternate Ending Pack' Rewrite of the endings for $10 or more.

I expect nothing but disappointment, and the sound of my footsteps walking away from any future Bioware titles.

"If people knew what was coming their reaction would be different" I'm holding bioware to that quote.

But how far are they willing to push the rage? It has to have dipped into sales by now. They've got charities against them, they've got the ftc involved, they've got thousands of people beyond pissed off. I don't know if they fully understand the situation. This is not as simple as the phantom menace sucks was.

People aren't playing this game because of the endings. Sure they gave you 60 bucks once but you've lost them. No more DLC. You've lost a lot of them forever. No more games. Is that worth your "artistic expression"?

I'm hoping that the Indoc theory is correct, but I can easily see them tripping over their feet at the finish line.

I find it rather amusing people complain about how the catalyst appear out of nowhere, and yet readily accept out-of-the-blue "Shepard was indoctrinated all along!"

Might as well say Shepard had a heavy supper before bedtime and had a nightmare of Reapers attacking Earth.

If that turns out to be the case then my faith in Mr Hudson and the rest of Bioware is redeemed.

Nobody likes those endings, trust me. They're simply keeping balance.

If any movement starts up, there will always be opposition. It's the way. The people arguing for artistic integrity are just overly impressionable and decide "We don't wanna be part of your movement! We're real artists!"

It's actually gotten really childish.

It wasn't fake, I saw it earlier today and responded to it. It must have been deleted. Suspicious.
