So what are your expectations for April ?

We'll just get a half-assed scene explaining BW's genius to us plebeians, so we can finally understand how deep and artistic the RGB bubbles are. I doubt they'll bring the VA's back, so it will probably just be some text, or an unvoiced scene.(like the original ending!)

If they did that I would literally regardless of if I failed or not, take them to court just for the mere ATTEMPT of doing it.
I would also write a damn letter to every single employee there in the public-domain registry.

I'm hoping for a final boss battle. Marauder Shields is a hero, but even he understands a Harbinger fight would be outstanding.
I'm hoping the changed endings to be free with a patch, with a paid DLC like Retake Omega released alongside it.
I expect to be extremely disappointed, jaded, and resolute in not purchasing any future BioWare products.

My hope: The Red Ending, at least, should lead to continued gameplay that determines how the battle for Earth turns out. If you beat Reaper indoctrination, you should still be in the fight, right? I could accept that the Blue/Green endings are "losses", but in a best-case scenario, there's even stories to tell there as well... maybe your LI can snap you out of it, maybe your teammates have to put you down and continue without you, maybe they do like the one Dragon Age DLC and have you play as the enemy... But even if Blue/Green means you lost, Red should continue.
This doesn't mean Shepard has to live... sacrifice can still be a theme of the eventual ending. But hopefully they make it matter.
My fears: They won't even bother with cinematics. There will be some token static art screens with generic voiceovers telling us "Shepard went on to free Earth" or "Shepard went on to lead the Reapers to victory". And I will at that point no longer be a customer.

I'll expect nothing going forward as it is obvious that my expectations have been placed too high. They're only human. At least that way I allow for the possibility of being pleasantly surprised.

This is what I also DON'T get. How ****ing hard would it have been to put together some generic cutscenes set over music? You wouldn't even need voice actors.
During the ending fight:
You could see the geth and quarians working together, the geth taking heavy casualties because you destroyed the heretics, the krogan being decimated because they have no future with the cure sabotaged, Jack doing her thing with the Grissom Academy students, Miranda/Jacob/Samara doing whatever they're doing, etc.
And at the end:
Cutscenes of what happens to everyone after you make the final choice. Would it be really so hard to even show how things turned out a few years in the future? To show you the squadmembers and different cultures you've grown to care about, and how they're doing? Nobody gives a flying **** about the grandpa and the kid. Seriously. There's no emotional attachment to them at all.

What's probably gonna happen is either a dumb 8 page comic that explains the control/destroy/synthesis choices and gives some backstory to the catalyst, or some kind of epilogue DLC that adds 2 minutes of post-ending text cards for each major character and event.
Worst case, the comic is gonna be priced as a DLC.

We'll probably get some BS of Bioware making Casey Hudson look like the second coming of the messiah (like in so many photos of him (specifically that pic of him looking up at the stars)).
He reminds me of Sylar from Heroes.

There's a chance BioWare could actually address our grievances, but this is for more likely. Then again, the lost revenue might actually make them fix the freaking ending.

My expectation is that they do a DAO style prologue at least, and probably some "fill-in-the-blank" content explaining what went on with the Normandy and Joker. And you know what else? I think they may even add a happy ending, depending on their attitude towards this controversy.

Mass effect is a very valuable IP and even though they say artistic integrity,...If the heads feel that not budging will equal low DLc sales or damage to other Mass effect spin offs then they will tell the designers/writers to fix it and make it so it shows we worked hard to show our appreciation for the fan base.
If they do something half ass due to not getting the budget they need then to me Mass effect IP is dead.
