I'm excited to see what Bioware is doing for DLC. There are a hundred things they could expand on from the games, and I'm excited to play through whatever they make. I just hope it's as amazing as LotSB.

I'm interested in seeing how they do at PAX as well. I'd prefer they stand their ground, but I understand that millions of dollars are at stake, so I expect a lot of bending.

This might be the depression talking....but I am thinking my expectations are along the line of...'Crushing whatever hope I had to play Mass Effect ever again.' .... also 'Or ever buy any DLC for it...buying Ashes was a mistake.'

I haven't bought any of the DLC's for ME1 or ME2.  I was seriously considering purchasing all of them and getting the opportunity to have the entire mass effect experience.  I'll wait till their PAX announcement, if whatever fix they have for the ending is acceptable to me, then I'm buying me some DLC.  If not, to hell with them.

Even if they announce a fix, don't buy/do anything yet. Cause let's face it...the ads for Mass Effect 3 made it seem like we were actually going to get an ending that changed based on the actions we did in the previous games...that we would get a variety of endings...instead, we didn't.

So all in all...for now, don't trust anything BioWare says...especially if it sounds like PR-jumbo. Wait until they release the actual proof.

Also, I think there's going to be so much fan outrage at PAX that I'm not even sure how BioWare will be able to handle itself.

I honestly expect that in April they'll say they've decided to do an Epilogue Patch... that will take them 6 months to make and test...

I'm expecting the minimum, because that's apparently what they are doing with their future content, and then defending them with the "artistic integrity" bullcrap.

I hope for the best. That they announce the DLC. That they add an ending or two, and add clousure for the characters. And remove that stupid crashing scene. I really hope thats the case.
For the sake of their fans.. That they find it in their hearts to fix this problem. But maybe thats just me hoping.

I am not sure what to expect.

But as you said, if Bioware doesn't do this right at this point, there will be serious damage.

I'm not sure going with the indoctrination theory is the way to do it, but I wouldn't personaly mind it.

I do believe that they will take the feedback under consideration.

That said, we don't know what kind of material they already have that they just didn't use, like those audio files of Jocker and Anderson. Perhaps they can do wonders with these, who knows?

I would hope that they add an additional ending in, where shepard lives, and the relays are not destroyed. Destroying the Mass Relays, is what really kills Mass Effect imo. If they let shepard live, kill only "some" if the reapers, imagine the epic monthly/bi monthly dlc they could add in to reclaim the galaxy.

They will most certainly deliver some sloppily made DLC that is supposed to explain the current endings. All this will achieve is more plotholes generated in the hopeless attempt to close some of the already existing plotholes and a huge letdown for all the players that are hoping for new/additional endings.(Some lazily made, text-based epilogue may be delievered as a "bonus").

By then, most players will realize that:

a) they will never get what they want

B) BioWare never listened to them despite claiming to do so

c) by April it will be too late for most customers to return their games and they will have to keep them

This is going to be comedy GOLD...

I think they do something worse or nonsensical.... can't believe anything other right now, they have to Proof that they can make something good.

This, but I'm hoping that I'm wrong. I'll stick around until April to find out.

Hold the line.

If they do that plus an option for a happy ending (at least give me that, 6 months is a long time), I will forgive Bioware and erase one X mark (they're on Strike 3 atm). I'm willing to wait, I just really hope they make good on their promise.

I'm expecting to be "underwhelmed" and as an extension of that, I fully expect these boards to go nuclear from A) people upset that Bioware "caved", B) people upset that the changes don't address their own grievances, and C) those raging if the ending fixes cost money.
