Ashley is painfully pesimistic, she thinks that moment something to big for the council hits the unity that the galaxy has will shatter and it will be every species for it self. I love Javik and Wrex, and just like Ashley for her Freudian slips and her Jesus is way cool aditude.

Javik just act like every one else did in his time he was born and raised the way he is. (A product of his time.) Wrex only hates the races who put a disease that has been killing his people for hundreds of years.(I am sure you can understand his reason.) Ashley has no reason to hate other races except maybe the geth case she fought them and lost her team against them but has no reason to hat on other races.

Ashaely is just a generic grunt disguised in a female's body, that's why I find her so unappealing (Infact I am surprised she doesn't turn out to be gay in the end).

Same reason I did not like Jack much in ME2 but redeemed herself in ME3

Ashley has a tendency to be pro-human and fearful of aliens for no logical reason.

The comparison isn't super valid to me. Also, as you cure the genophage, Wrex's hatred subsides. Wrex is willing to put these things aside as long as he doesn't get slighted, basically.

I think it has something to do with racism and minorities/different ethnicities. For example, if a black person is being racist about white people, its less likely someone will jump in and say 'This isn't ok.' But if a white person is discriminating against black people, everyone will jump in. It could also be because the Krogan are the victims of a disease which was used years ago and still isn't being treated (Even though ME3 is evidence it's possible)

I don't think that people who use the word "racist" when explaining why they don't like Ashley really dislike her because she's racist. It's more likely because they don't like her character in general, but it makes your point sound more valid if you can say "I don't like this character because she's a bad person," rather than "I just don't like this character."

People who truly dislike her just because she's "racist" are, in my opinion, shortsighted, while people who dislike her just because she's religious are bigoted. That number though, I would expect, is smaller than it seems on this forum.

Ashley's personality just isnt anywhere near as interesting, atleast in my opnion, as Wrex, Javik and Tali... the other racists/xenophobes/whatever term u wanna use.... and that has nothing to do with the fact that she's human.

Vega's a human squaddie, and i genuinely liked him and in hindsight i wish he'd been part of the crew since ME1 in place of Kaidan/Ashley.

Wrex and Ashley are pretty much the same thing. If you're nice to them and actually take the time to pay attention to their characters they grow more "understanding". Wrex hates salarians and turians for the genophage, Ashley is distrustful of aliens because of her grandfather and the FCW.

Neither are racist. Javik is just a troll.

eh..shes more a xenophobe....but shes very serious about it. Wrex...well..hes funny about it with bitter undertones because of the whole Genophage and stuff that the salarians and turians hit them with. While humans fought a small war with the turians neither side tried to neuter the others race. like was done with the krogan. so the krogan whos numbers keep dropping and race is nearing the brink of extinction....are a bit bitter to the aliens that did that..and probobly others as well. javik...well in his time his race was the dominate race....that usually comes with a better than you attitued. wouldnt actually say that is racist but still being a douche.

I wasn't fussed on Ashley's distrust of aliens at first. Probably 'cause I'm a Star Trek fan so wanted Shepard to skip around the Normandy with her new alien pals. Now I kind of see her point why should Shep trust a krogan merc and the daughter of the enemy? Either of them could have been working for Saren but Shep trusts them anyway. I've really got to like Ashley a lot now, shame there wasn't much friendship content for her in ME3.

So yeah, I agree Wrex and Javik are more racist than Ashley. But I don't really like Wrex, its fun to let Ashley shoot him. Javik is fab though, not at all what I imagined.

Wrex is awesome. Javik is less awesome but still okay. Ashley is neither of those things so her flaws are greatly magnified because there's no reason to forgive any of them.

She just strikes me as a very stuck in her ways kind of person. Which frankly, is fairly annoying when you meet a person like that in real life. I'm sure those types of people will see and even like Ashley. However, a lot of people can't stand that type of person, they are the ones who probobly dont care for Ashley much.

What seperates her from the others is that she is always trying to rationalize it. Which is dumb.

No, I hate Ashley because she's annoying and every time she gave me some lip or tried to lecture me about my "evil ways," I just wanted to punch her in the throat.

I hate ashly for many of the reasons propsed but I espescially hate her voice. She just sounds so pleased with herself, all day every day.
