"What with the whole taking player choice away in lieu of three almost identical outcomes"

The only thing about them that's identical is that the mass Relays blow up. That's it.

Because there isn´t more than that. Well, yeah, the Normandy going for a Robinson Crusoe thing.

Mass Effect 2 only had 2 endings,  people didn't seem to care. Huh funny, Mass Effect 3 has 3 endings. CORRELATION??? OR COINCIDENCE??

With the difference that ME2 was not advertised to have 16 different endings.

IGN said that, not Bioware. And actually, depending on your EMS your endings are minimally different.

What Hudson stated is that there was no A-B-C choice and that´s what you get.

The other element is that there would change substantially and your last two words agree with me that they do not.

You people whine too much. No one was calling for a new ending until monday the 19th, everyone just wanted them to fix it, so they planned to do so, but by than everybody had jumped on the "the whole damn ending needs to go" bandwagon so now were back to square one.

The fans started a war, and just moved the goalpost back 50 yards right when bioware got ready to deliver the kick. And if bioware decides to change the endings than fans will just say move the goal further back to something like "unless you use the indoctrination theory than I won't buy anything from you". Because these forums have evolved to the point where we need negativity and a hatred of bioware to sustain ourselves, less we atrophy and die from having our demands answered.

In that case, think of how many endings ME2 had, depending on all the combinations of people who could live and die!

People have been decrying the lack of choice in the endings since I beat the game and logged on the 11th.

No need for hatred. Regarding the rest is just lots of speculation as usual. Till I don´t get confirmation I´ll belive nothing.

Choices presented at the very end don't equal number of endings. Dragon Age: Origins had tons of different ways things could work out, but it did it based on choices with each major area of the game. ME 2 didn't have "two endings", it had many different endings, many different outcomes of who survived and why.

I'd add that people didn't need as much differentiation in endings from the earlier ME games because there's an assumption that there needs to be more similarity so they can have a sequel. The producer of this game distinctly said that they could have more widely different endings because they did not need to plan for a sequel. It's pretty clear now that it wasn't the case.

Take a look back and see what happened with every single company that released a game with very unsatisfying ending. Look up "Phantasmagoria" aka "R.I.P. Sierra".

:crying: I miss Sierra, and all their "Quest" games.  I learned how to spell with King's Quest on my dad's old IBM PCjr.  It ws my first company that I cajoled and begged my parents for every game, and when I got older would buy for myself.

I bought Phantasmagoria....and then bought Gabriel Knight III because, hey I loved the first two and Jensen is still on it.  She won't mess it up.

The Only thing that Sierra did right was allowing the Coles to finish the Quest for Glory series (they were contracted for 4 games but needed a 'filler' plot wise so it took like 6 years for them to get QfG 5)

For the record I'm willing to give them the chance, if they follow through. I realize all new endings are unrealistic. That being said I'm still going to press the issue politely and I'm going to be incredibly disillusioned if they fail to somehow repair the endings or do so in a totally underwhelming way. You've got a second chance Bioware, please don't screw that up.

BioShock gave me trust issues. BioWare prevanted me from becoming emotionally attached to anything.

I am willing to wait a while. I expect a full overhaul, the rest of ME3. I was promised "wildly different conclusions". I refuse to pay more than the 70+ dollars for what I was promised already.

Maybe they're just using their Bioware logic.

NO a,b,c endings = a,b,c endings
NOT changing the ending = changing the ending
