Actualy I have been reading hence why I said people have overreacted.  All I hear about is "ending this, space magic that, little kid this, EA is the devil, bioware destroyed my childhood, I am going to cancel my swtor account and never buy another Dragon Age game although neither of those dev teams had anything to do with the ME 3 ending, blah blah blah".  I didn't like the endings either but I have enough perspective where I don't let them stop me from playing the series and the play the series I do, all three games.

Those threads are just the usual whining. The threads/post that say everything what that 5 minutes did are the ones that start with:

1. I have been crying all week.
2. I have not been able to play any other game since I finished ME3.
3. I have major ME withdrawal symptoms but I cannot get myself to replay the game.

Those 5 minutes weren't just a bad ending. For many of us, those 5 minutes managed to destroy world going forward, and make it feel irrelevant going backwards.

Casey and Mac truly outdid themselves this time, and I have no doubt their "closure" DLC will just be the coup de grace that will put us out of our misery.

The problem for Bioware that people like him are likely the majority.

They arent, most people arent acting like mindless children over this. Even ammong those that dislike the endings many will continue to buy Bioware products.

I agree. I will likely continue to buy BW products. But only a couple weeks after the release and used.

Yes.  What makes the endings great is that they alienate a large percentage of your fanbase, generate extremely negative PR, and that the potentially jeopardize future revenue.

For your own sake, I hope you never a)write for a living, own a business or c)engage in something involving cutomer relations. "Great," has a few definitions, but I don't think any of them work for this.

We should wait for the content before jumping to conclusion.

If they go with the indoctrination theory they will not change the current endings, either.

They would be creating new content to clarify and add closure.

It's really just speculation, but the answer might not be all that different from what happens when the culture at other companies/organizations becomes insular and removed from genuine perspective.

Look at NASA.  Teams of brilliant engineers overlooked ice breaking off the external fuel tank and slamming into the Orbiter for decades.  Any one of us might have looked at that and thought it serious-looking with little knowledge.  Engineers from outside would even have felt concern.  But for NASA....  it took Colombia exploding upon re-entry.

If they are adding new content to the ending, how is that saying it's just going to be new camera angles? It sounds to me like they are adding more stuff AFTER the ending we saw... This doesn't mean that the ending we have now isn't a dream sequence and the new content we are getting may explain this. People seem to be interpreting things very strangely.

Not the interpretation that the endings are being altered, not replaced. That was always the most likely outcome of the Retake movement anyway. No, its "camera angles" now. How did you come to this conclusion when the phrase isn't even used?
