They arent, most people arent acting like mindless children over this. Even ammong those that dislike the endings many will continue to buy Bioware products.
Even amongst those that liked the endings many will stop buying Bioware products.
Making baseless assumptions is fun, isn't it?
That is correct, many of those will not buy more products because the future ips dont interest them, or they dont have the money or some other reason.

Yes. What makes the endings great is that they alienate a large percentage of your fanbase, generate extremely negative PR, and that the potentially jeopardize future revenue.
For your own sake, I hope you never a)write for a living, own a business or c)engage in something involving cutomer relations. "Great," has a few definitions, but I don't think any of them work for this.
Its NOT my product so im speaking as a costumer who has to deal with a terrible overreacting annoying community.
A community that trashes a company when they dont have their way in the last 10 minutes of an amazing 40 hours game.
A community that reviews bombs a 9,0+ game with 1s and 0s out of pure spite for not finishing the game exactly the way they wanted.
A comunnity that tries to organize boycotts of the company's products (on their OWN forums) and DEMANDS Bioware to work for them for more content for free, including supporting silly lawsuits and false FTC complaints...
A community that suposedly respects Bioware but hate the idea of them finishing the game the way they wanted, when Bioware said it will continue the main themes of the endings but with more clarifications, all you guys can do is **** about how the company is evil and wont listen to "us" (you)
So this IS beneficial to me, you guys are terrible, overrreacting costumers, and this place will be much better when you're gone...

Well... maybe if it's... cleverly implemented... and a very enlightening "clarification"... just maybe?
This is still disheartening, though.

This tweet in particular doesn't imply anything. The new ending would be DLC at most so those two guys can still buy their game and get a DLC later, instead of buying a brand new game(that includes the DLC).weltraumhamster89 wrote...

Just a point but a valid one...had I not played 1&2 I probably would have been ...happier with the ending in 3.
They are still outnumbered 9-1

How do you "clarify" this many plot holes?
By adding even more plotholes and more depression so that through all the tears gathering in our eyes we cannot any longer see this misery.

While that does sound pretty grim, a tweet is far from an official response. However, this with their previous statements does seem to indicate them just extending the current ending. I should probably just return my copy before the 30 days are up. Sigh...... why do you do this to me Bioware?weltraumhamster89 wrote...

They aren't listening at all.
As if that ever had been a possibility. After all this is art and their crappy art has to be preserved.
I am quite done with this company, yet i'll stick around a bit longer to see their final and official statment.
Maybe someone will find the ability to mod some end into this game.

I wouldn't return the copy, I would wait until April. Then, when we, the loyal fanbase of BW, get kicked in the nuts again, we/ you could break your copy of ME3 and send it to BW in an enveloppe.

Appart from the fact that you obviously don't know what your talking about, you are right. This place will be much better without all the long time fans they just pissed in their faces.
It will be much better when all that is left are people who give a crap and don't mind when they are cheated and lied to. It will be much better for Bioware when all thats left is the CoD crowd, thats perfectly happy to buy the same **** with a different title.

Apparently, you don't seem to quite understand what being a "customer" entails either. A customer reserves the right to judge the product or service a provider gives him/her. A customer can make judgements and requests about that product or service based upon their desires. If they are unsatisfied with the product or service, a customer has the right to redress or to seek changes from the provider. The provider may choose to ignore these issues at its own peril.
It is very simple, this free market stuff. We are under no obligation as customers to continue to support BioWare in any shape or form. Because we have liked their products in the past, we consider it worthwhile to seek some kind of accomodation. This is made more problematic because Mass Effect 3, while you deem it "amazing," severely fell short of features the provider promised by anything but the most technical and misleading terms. We would like the provider to address these issues. If they do not, they can make that choice in the knowledge that they will lose customers in doing so. Most business of any maturity love the chance to gather feedback and to amend their products to increase profitability. Most business actually pay to have this research done, and we are giving BioWare this for free.
Are people passionate about this? Sure. It comes along any time a customer base or clientele feels misled or taken advantage of. People don't like feeling like they've been lied to. They also don't like feeling like they're being handled by the machinery of a corporation that gives lip service to their concerns while acting as though customers are in the wrong for asserting their rights.
