Yes. What makes the endings great is that they alienate a large percentage of your fanbase, generate extremely negative PR, and that the potentially jeopardize future revenue.
For your own sake, I hope you never a)write for a living, own a business or c)engage in something involving cutomer relations. "Great," has a few definitions, but I don't think any of them work for this.
Its NOT my product so im speaking as a costumer who has to deal with a terrible overreacting annoying community.
A community that trashes a company when they dont have their way in the last 10 minutes of an amazing 40 hours game.
A community that reviews bombs a 9,0+ game with 1s and 0s out of pure spite for not finishing the game exactly the way they wanted.
A comunnity that tries to organize boycotts of the company's products (on their OWN forums) and DEMANDS Bioware to work for them for more content for free, including supporting silly lawsuits and false FTC complaints...
A community that suposedly respects Bioware but hate the idea of them finishing the game the way they wanted, when Bioware said it will continue the main themes of the endings but with more clarifications, all you guys can do is **** about how the company is evil and wont listen to "us" (you)
So this IS beneficial to me, you guys are terrible, overrreacting costumers, and this place will be much better when you're gone...
From a developer that lied about what would be int he game not just in the ending but throughout the entirety, which made assets not matter, which destroyed continuity, and which made you realize you wasted all the time you spent with your characters and their story, because they couldn't give enough of a **** to actually make a quality product, instead they made a quality gameplay with good mixed in here and there but missing all the things that made it Mass Effect.
10 minutes my ass.
More like 29 hours rendered wasted.

Why care for a company who may or may not do something in april ? Our concerns haven't been adressed. We still don't know what they intend to do. From where I stand, it looks like a delaying tactic.
Won't be supporting Bioware anymore.

They are still outnumbered 9-1

I played all 3 ME games, and both DA, and both baldurs gate, and NWN.....
just never bother to register at BSN. did not see whats the point.
was tempted to join the rage about DA2, but got distracted by witcher 2. and since I can pretend its never exist while still replaying DA:O, I dont really care that much.

1. Face it. Mass Effect 3 is a nice action shooter (not a RPG anymore) but not an amazing game. Bugged mechanics, 2d smoke, sprites everywhere, lazy design. etc. etc.
2. Invalid point. Look at all the reviews of highly advertised games. 8/10 and 9/10 all over the place. Don't believe all those magazines with their poorly 8th grade level articles who fear to lose their early access if they rate a game properly.
3. That's how economy works. I see no problem with that.
4. People don't hate BioWare for ending a game the way they wanted, people are upset that promises weren't kept and things don't make sense.

I'll wait and see what they show at april if the "improvements" to the ending are insufficient I'll hover around the forums for a bit longer after that i'll no longer be a customer of Bioware products.

Ok you are wrong on so many levels. ME 3 is an amazing game you are just to stubborn and blind to see it.

Could not agree more. Calling ME3 an amazing game, as a whole, can only be done when comparing it to the ending, which is utter trash.
Compared to the previous 2 games, ME3 is far from amazing, and in several areas "lazy" is what describes it best.

A. Nobody will accept any explanation anyway.
B. You can't possibly do any worse ANYWAY. Might aswell replace the whole starchild scene with a picture of a turd then cut to credits and it would still be better than the current ones.

He is not wrong, ME3 lacks the interpersonal dealings that made ME1 and 2 so great. You usually just click on your squadmates and they say random things, you may as well be clicking on your orcs in Warcraft 1, 2, or 3 for all the interaction you get.
ME3 is an average shooter with an ending that is so depressing and plot hole ridden as to make it unplayable. The shooting mechanics are better than ME1 and 2, but I don't think that is why people played it or bought it, it was for the interaction, the playing the part of the hero, having your squad and friends who were in the fight with you to make the universe safe and a better place.
ME3 was a ruined story, capping a ruined trilogy. I have never bought a collector's edition anything, bought one for ME3 just for the hell of it. Now I keep looking up amazon's return page so I can just get rid of the piece of garbage.
