I recently promoted one of my classes in multiplayer. I played a few rounds then left multiplayer. When I came back my character reverted back to the one I had promoted. When I went to the powers screen, it showed that I had the same skills I had when the class was level 20, but it told me I was level 12 and that I had negative skill points. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I've had this happen, as well. (You didn't happen to be a vanguard, did you? I've seen this happen to another Vanguard)
When you hit level 20 again, everything will work fine. Your next promotion, if you choose to do so, should work properly as well, assuming that whatever causes it doesn't happen again.

Thanks. It happened to both my infiltrator and sentinel classes. I was afraid playing more because I would be mistaken for hacking the game or something.

Ah, I was just about to make a big post about this. I was wondering if anyone else had the problem, so it's good to see I wasn't the only one. I basically have a level 1 character who's just as powerful as a level 20 character. Good to hear that it'll sort itself out after another promotion.
No idea as to what would be causing it, but it doesn't seem to affect the gameplay quality. Just means I have a kickass low level character who can do gold runs.
