DONT QUIT THE GAME DURING THE PROCESS!
When a purchase fails disconnect from the internet by ejecting the cable or disabling wifi. You will be returned to the main menu. Now connect to the internet again. Click on Multiplayer. You will now receive the pack you tried to purchase.
Please let people know this method to contain the damage of the large amount of failed purchases.
!Possible workaround for failed pack purchases!

I lost a spectre pack because the EA servers died mid-transaction a few days ago. Lost the Bioware Points, EA Support has been useless in getting the points back.
Just tried this trick, no luck, but it has been a few days, so many quit/restarts

I've lost probably 10 packs now, all bought with credits earned in mp luckily, but I haven't been able to buy any at all for about 4 days straight now (but friends on Vent can, although sometimes they can't either), and the frustration is through the roof. Add this to the problem of when you get disconnected from the game, there is no easy reconnect, oh no...I have to log out of the game completely, Origin too, and reboot, or I get "network error".

Echocolit is right, it is CRUCIAL you dont exit the game after a failed purchase and follow my steps in the OP.

I actually tried this trick last night, it didn't work. I still lost the credits as if I had exited the game. =(
I do, however, recall this working for me before, so it could be random. Either way, it's a better troubleshooting alternative than exiting the game to try and get your packs.

If it doesnt work the first time, try waiting for a little bit before trying again.
The goal is to reconnect to Bioware without exiting the game, sometimes the Bioware service can be unavailable for a couple of minutes after losing connection.
