He doesn't instakill you.

When he first comes out of cover he fires at you once. Does that kill you? If the answer is no then he does not instakill you.

Basically you have to continually hit him after that first shot, or he will fire again and you will die. Aim for the head and practice your marksmanship and you will beat him.

Thanks, man. I was having the worst time trying to fight him. They give me a Carnifex with infitnite ammo and expect me to best THE Marauder Shields?

Dont have to aim for head. As long as you hit him every time, it will not return fire and it will die.

I recommend not to aim for the head because you may not be use to the time dilation, odd cursor and recoil. Just aim for the torso. and keep firing, no practice needed and you will never lose

Hmm, that's good to know.  I had lots of practice with the Carnifex before I got there, which was helpful.  I always aimed at his head and never had a problem... good to know I can shoot him in the chest.

I used cryo ammo and concussive shot.
Of course I'm playing on the Xbox with a kinect.

The Shield part is only becaus he has shield on, when you take that off it says "Marauder health"
It`s name is only Marauder.
