Same issue here, unable to log in. Stays Logged Out and when entering the password in the login UI, the Login button stays greyed out. Assuming the auth/login servers are down. Downloadable Content also displays "--" instead of 0 (like it normally would). The game launches and plays though, but I'll wait until servers are working again (not that you should risk anything by playing offline if you choose to do so). Perhaps it can be related to "The Edge" or something, or even better.. Return to Ostagar?
Why does the game tell me im not connected to the internet when im connected to the internet?

I can play and use all my dlc. I just can't stay logged in so the website profile won't be updating.
Id be careful with saving you game if its allowing you to do that.
You may end up with corrupted savegames or the Shale bug that a lot of us have when you finally get back online
(everytime you go to talk to shale in camp you get the conversation options of "Activate the Gollum" or "Do nothing" and then the screen clips you elsewhere.

PS: I read some people saying Player Profiles don't update anyways, wich can be the case for them perhaps, but mine has (not always as fast as I'd like it to, but at least within some days)--so it works for some people, and not for others.

For whatever reason, the fact that everyone is saying they're getting a new one makes me wonder WHY....

and if you get "disconnected" while in game, it can possibly mess up your DLC content. It shouldn't according to BW/EA but i've seen it happen to too many people and even to myself.
A few things I do to keep my game corrupt free (and it's been that way through 8 further play throughs)
1) you can stay offline! once the game validates your DLCs.. LOG OUT.... play the game logged out... then once in a while hit ESC (dont exit) and log in for a bit so it can update the website then log out. If you don't care if your stats are uploaded then you NEVER have to log in again unless you BUY DLC. (free stuff is manualy installed and you do not need to be logged in to install or play it)
2) If you choose to stay logged in 100% of the time and you do get a sever error, I instantly exit w/o saving , restart the game and go back to my last save. You should see how many save files I have per run (usually 200+).
NEVER rely on autosave! It only has 4 slots and it will overwrite them! With the sheer ammount of bugs in this game, I rec a manual save every 30-60mins
Once I started doing the above, I have *never* had any further DLC issues.

The game always says I am not connected to the internet which is one of the problems many people are experiencing. I bought the collectors edition and am running it on windowsxp pro. I have however managed to get most of the downloadable content that I am legally entitled to to work sort of. Namely stone prisoner, blood armour, the edge and the collectors edition stuff. I did this by doing the following
go to http://social.biowar.../58/index/81613
download the relevent DLC in section 4 and follow the instructions in section 4.1
The edge and blood dragon armour should now be installed and should appear in your inventory. Stone Prisoner and the collectors edition will be in the downloaded content and will be enabled but not authorized.
To authorize these these 2 DLC's I did the following
Go to \\"My DocumentsBioWareDragon AgeSettings\\" and open the AddIns.xml in Notepad.
Search for \\"RequiresAuthorization=\\"1\\"\\" and change all occurences of 1 to 0. Save and launch the game.
Stone prisoner and collectors edition items will now be authorized.
I haven't played stone prisoner yet so am unsure whether it now works or not but at least I now have the quest and it says it is installed enabled and authorized, so fingers crossed. Now I know bypassing EA's draconian online authorization procedure is probably technically ilegal but so is selling faulty goods and seeing as people have reported this problem since the game was released and Bioware and EA have made no effort to fix the problem or even reply to people on here they leave us no option but to find a way arround it.

I just really wish BW, my favorite developer, wasn't forced to work with such poor-service houses as Atari previously and Electronic Arse now. It is almost always the publisher who decides on the methods of "copy protection". Having to stay connected for a single player RPG is, quite simply, stupid. I didn't realize prior to buying the game that I would not be able to install on my laptop to play during down-time when not at home. (Unless I want to play a whole new game without the DLC.) I know, my bad for not doing enough research on login requirements of a single player game.
