well I've tried finding a way to get stone prisoner to work using developer console and even when trying to run it as administrator, still nothing happens. I wouldn't mind if I had just bought the normal game but I paid an extra £10 for the collectors edition and expect the extra content that I paid for to work but basically I'm screwed and after 2 days of trying every suggestion and possible fix I cant get it to work. This will be the last Bioware game I ever buy, and this comes from a loyal customer of Bioware who has bought every Bioware game from Baldurs Gate onwards. It was a sad day when EA got there poisonous clutches on Bioware.

Your problem doesn't seem at all on-topic for this message thread.  The actual subject of which is mis-stated.

AFAIK, the game itself isn't issuing any error messages about the web site, just passing them onward, since it is the web site's bugginess causing something like half of all the complaints here on the game's tech forum.

Dragon Age: Origins was scheduled for release in April, 2009, and was on time in January or Febriuary, when the date was changed.  The console games had been originally intended for an October release, and supposedly, the PC version was held up to coincide with the other versions.  It is my opinion that EA saw an opportunity to gouge more money from the customer base, and demanded that the game's Original Campaign be carved into parts so there would be immediate opportunities to charge more for the content that was intended to be part of the actual game, not designed as "DLC" at all.

In order to sell this material, the "Social" site was designed to handle the gouging, but it was rushed, and has more bugs in it than a colony of African termites.

That's what I think that they foisted off on us.

You must unblock ports 80 (TCP/UDP), 8000 (TCP), 8001 (UDP), 443 (TCP), and 18081 (TCP) to connect.

18081 is the port that isn't listed in the manual or website but is necessary. Just got it going this morning :)

Now the map wont update with normal locations. I give up on this game. I'll uninstall it, do a clean reinstal and play without the DLC and hope that one day when pigs fly that EA bring out a patch that makes the DLC work without causing game breaking bugs in the main campaign.

http://forums.steamp...nected internet

Here's what happening (and what fixed it for me). http://profile.ea.com has some anti-spam protection that literally drops connections that it *thinks* are spam. If you've got ECP turned on, EA will look at your connections as spam.

So attempts to use your full internet connection capabilities means you're a spammer. Fantastic.

If you are getting this "not connected to internet" message, see if you can open the site profile.ea.com on the same computer. If not, getting that page showing up will fix the in-game problem.
