Casey Hudson DOES NOT CARE about what we think of the ending. He NEVER cared. Why do you think they worked so hard to steer the franchise toward the Gears of War territory with more "accessible" game play? And Multiplayer?

They knew from the start that they're gonna screw us over so they took the effort to make sure a large portion of their gamers are people who just want to see explosions and alien boobs. These people will keep buying EA / Bioware games regardless of the ending. Hell these people probably bought the game for the multiplayer.

Again, NOTHING about the ending will be mentioned. Only thing they'll talk about is how successful it has been and what grand plans they'll have for future expansions / DLC / moar accessible content.

It's as inevitable as the end of all organics by the hands of the Reapers.

If I had the podium for a few minutes, I'd make them FEEL the heat.

Instead of asking Bioware questions, I'd turn it on the audience and ask them to raise their hands to answer these:

#1. Did you finish ME3?

#2. How many DID NOT like the ending?

#3. How many LIKED the ending?

I would expect a shocking majority to dislike the endings, and then I would let them sit uncomfortable for 10 seconds before asking Bioware:

"Address this".

Then they answer with expected BS.

Then if that answer sucks, I ask for the audience to raise their hand if they thought whatever answer they came up with was satisfactory.

If majority wasn't satisfied, I'd ask Bioware to try ONE MORE TIME with a better answer.

Still awful answers after that?  The room won't like them and they will KNOW it.

In short: If I could, I would put them in the most uncomfortable hot seat of their career.

As has already been mentioned, they are not getting away with not addressing the fan backlash on the endings in front of a live audience. Not a chance.

But how they address it, whether by skimming over the matter with "we are currently finalising the details of our DLC initiative in response" or actually announcing a finished plan to deal with the matter, is nothing but guesswork at this stage. They've been dancing about with such vague PR statements since release that we don't know what their intentions are. I'm still trying to work out the motives behind the endings.

The gamer tag glitch of course that has not let a bunch of us not play the game since release.

if only my game had glitched so hard I couldn't play .... I envy them.

Cool you want to switch tags for a bit in that case?

"Most people agree that our endings were justified and great art, however our core fanbase is dissatisfied with the ending. So we are working on something to rectify that...Make sure you buy ME3, now in stores near you! No more comment. Any questions NOT about the ending?"

lol I can see it now.

Can they really get away with pulling that PR BS on a live crowd? I would think they would get boo'd out of the building. Anyone here familiar with PAX?

The endings will be a footnote... If they're discussed at all.

We're not going to get what we want. Not this soon.

We should be prepared to dig in for this literary war of attrition we will be engaging in with bEAware.

I'd be willing to go out on a limb and say EA/BioWare won't let Casey Hudson anywhere near PAX. Largely because, at the moment, he is absolutely the last person they want in a public position. Look at the sheer volume of replies to the post on defending the endings for ME3. More likely would be that Dr. Musyka(sp?) will be there as well people from BioWare Austin. In short, they'll have "media darling" types of people there.

They'll probably focus largely on the huge upcoming patch for TOR, and only peripherally address the issues with dlc for ME3 and stay as far away from commenting on the endings issues as they possibly can.

I can't think of any praise for the ending before the whole 'artistic integrity' path was forged. At all.

I think Casey (if present) has to address this. Or else he's going to SEE the sales plummet as everyone sells back or returns their game.

It would be wonderful if you could do that, but I don't think those in control of the question-fielding and microphone-holding will allow you to do that.

I'm pretty sure they'll be briefed not to let such a thing happen in advance of the event.

Fan - "So, about that single ending you gave us."
Casey - "Who likes Aria?"
Fan - "Aria's cool and all but about that ending...
Casey - "Retake omega! Woo~!"
Fan - "But what's the point in retaking Omega if it gets destroyed by a Mass Relay explosion regardless of our actions?
Casy - "I'm hungry. Let's call a lunch break."
Fan - "B-but you just came back from your last lunch break!"
Casey - "Out of time, deuces!"

I'm sure he'll think of something... He seemed to do well enough pretending there was more than "A, B and C" endings... *shrug*

How extremely proud he is of what this team has accomplished, creating the best work by BioWare yet, with more than 75 critics giving it a perfect review score and a review average in the mid-90s.

This.

I don't envy his position. It will literally be his very own Kobyashi Maru.

However, he put himself in this no-win scenario so he'll just have to face it. Could be an ideal day to take up binge drinking.

I really wish they understood that dancing around the issue has only caused more outrage. Galvanizing peoples resolve. Gamers in general I think have had enough with playing these games and having endings that just don't make any sense.
