#1. Who does the title of the song remind you of?
#2. What strikes you as familiar about that background? Where did you see that before?
#3. When the lyrics start, think about the story of Mass Effect 3 and how they compare.
#4. Think about the lyrics and try to pick out things Harbinger or Starchild might enjoy saying.
#5. Think about the meaning of the lyrics, and think about the philosophy of Mass Effect 3 and it's terribad endings.
#6. Think about the new ideals that have ONLY APPEARED in Mass Effect 3, and look for those in the lyrics.
#7. What does the background slowly do over the course of the song, and what does that remind you of?
#8. Look at the date the video was uploaded to youtube, and compare it to when work started on ME3.
#9. For fun, take a look at the comments posted by other viewers, too.
Check out that awesome picture they used in the video!

The background of the actual video is the planet Normandy crashes on. Double moon. Trees. Snow. Everything exactly in correlation: Note the uncanny position of the trees. Note the darkness of the woods Nobody cantell me that this isn't 100% INEXTRICABLY LINKED. Add in the lyrics evidence and everything else to the mix, and "coincidence" is getting impossible pretty quick.
They even stole the picture off the youtube video and used that for where gramps teaches his kid the unforgettable lesson that artistic integrity sucks.
Can't wrap this up yet. The theft-ception level goes deeper! In the video, the background changes to the same colors you choose at the end of the game. Looks like they did a clean sweep. Nothing left to steal, except perhaps comments from youtube-goers.
Llet me show you JUST EXACTLY WHERE WE GOT THE **** ENDINGS.
LYRICS SIGNIFICANCE
So mysterious is your world, ----Hey look, the planet our friends are marooned on!
Concealed beyond the stars ----Hidden away and nobody's coming.
Far away from the earth, ----Went through the relay to get there, right? So yeah, FAR far away.
It flows one with time & dark as the night ----Isolation. Does the phrase "Gone dark" ring a bell?
Million shapes and colours -----Infinite possibilities through spacemagic! Pick one![smilie]../../../../images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie][smilie]../../../../images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie][smilie]../../../../images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie]
Are storming inside your mind -----You enable/choose it
Creating endless dimensions -----Creating
Forming universes without walls -----No more cycles. Reapers gone and relays effed...
Storms of new energy flows -----Energy from the new crucible device.
In the depths of my mind -----You enable/choose it.
New constellations are born -----New possibilities, new constellations on "Gilligan's Planet"
In total harmony of perfection -----Synthetics and organics not fighting. Starchild would call it this.
This is just the FIRST part of the song, too! The entire song mirrors the game and the ending. I translated the small fraction above just to help everyone understand. As far as the song's lyrics keep going, one can keep drawing conclusions even stronger than the ones above. Elsewhere, such ideas and themes as Shepard's nightmare is present in multiple places. Everywhere, it talks about Shepard's sacrifice. I'll translate those sometime in the future...
Starchild was Uploaded on July 6th, 2011. EXACTLY in the window of when they would make the plot.
ARTISTIC INTEGRITY MY ASS.
There are those holding out last hopes that would say: "Bioware loves us! They would NEVER do this!..."
Sadly, no. All the lies they told us about the game before it's release make it obvious, but add in the fact that Bioware pulled a stock photo off Google, gave it a 5 second hack-job entitled "Tali", and shoved it in our face in the glorious form of static picture sitting on a table?
Suddenly, Rockmusic plagiarism is WELLwithin reach. It is made of the same type of special bull that the Talistock photo was made of. Why WOULDN'T they hesitate with this godawfulsong? The thought that "Bioware would never do such a thing!" stands on it's head.
They stole the title. They stole the meaning behind the lyrics. They stole the picture from the video. They stole the idea of colors, they stole and made voice actors read some of the lyrics (Harbinger, Starchild, Protheans, and more). They stole the kitchen sink... Heck, they went for a clean sweep and stole EVERYTHING.
CONCLUSION: There isn't a chance in the world that this is all "coincidence".
I'm not sure about everyone else, but I'm pissed. Bioware stole the idea that irreversibly destroyed an entire universe we knew and loved and replaced it with the musings of a screamo rock band.
There is WAY too much going on here to ignore. Is THIS actually what they were thinking? Is this where our catastrophically awful endings came from? Is this REALLY what Bioware did that caused our minds to be blown in disbelief?
Infuriating.
This is a swift kick to the nuts for everyone who owns this game.
I feel strongly that this is the root of the game destroying BS 10 minuteTRAVASTY that I watched during the most destructive end to any game, movie, or book that I have ever known in all 22 years I have lived. It is a rare game that screws up so bad so as to not only destroyed any ability for me to even get past the damned login screen, but wrecked my drive to play ALL OTHER videogames too!
Somewhere, Casey Hudson is passionately air-guitaring atop a table at Bioware Headquarters with Starchild blaring over the speakers, completely drowning out his ability to hear our complaints.
BIOWARE; ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL OF IPs.
