You forgot one of the most obvious similarities-- both the song and the endings are horrible.
MUST READ: The REAL source for the "artistic" ending was STOLEN from a SONG.

The entire first post was re-written, and so far I have only put in less than half of the reasonings/evidence/coincidences.
When people call an entire PLOT SYNOPSYS an "EASTER EGG?".
END CONCLUSION STANDS: While each reason I outlined is weak on it's own, WHEN ALL ARE COMBINED it more than causes the mathematical odds to be FAR beyond coincidence.

This seems like a case of "hey guys I think this is cool!" from somebody with more authority than sense. And what do you want to bet the blame will be shifted right onto designers who were against the ideas that gave birth to that tragically awful ending.
That ended like a bad fanfic, written by somebody with no knowledge of what went on throughout most of ME3. There's no excuse for that kind of shoddy quality.

It doesnt matter how many times you edit or re-write the post, it's still just the same old big pile of speculation and interpretation. When will you learn the difference between correlation and evidence?

And seriously ffs. It is not laziness to include a beautiful picture in your f.ucking game. That picture was a picture taken irl. They would of had to remake it FROM SCRATCH in order to put it in the game. Which is why it looks like it is part of the game world and not from the real world like the original picture. Plus they had to edit it to make it look different. To do that so it doesn't look completely stupid is not easy. So yea, that being in the game is far from laziness.
Same goes for Tali's picture. It is not something that could have been rushed. A deliberate effort had to be made at some point to decide how a Quarian should look, what skin tone, and her eyes. If in fact it was one lone artist with a large pot of coffee and an all nighter that lead to the image of her face, then kudos to them for having an incredible imagination.
In the end, it was would stupid and completely wrong to say it was laziness to implement and edit either images into the game. For it would be far from easy. And it would take a lot of work to make them compatible with the game and the setting.
