Ah, the beautiful irony of it all.

Yes, do tell me more about this artistic integrity, I'm sure we are simply agog to know more about this concept.

Further lies by a group of known liars.

I need a badly required break.

I have poured hours and hours of time into writing all this and defending it all neatly and succinctly.

In essence, I wrote this for YOU, the reader. Please share this with others. I wouldn't be satisfied until many more people read what I have taken a very very long time to create.

Thank you.

Goddess.

What is this I don't even...

This is terrifying. How could they do something like that to Mass Effect...

So what, half of Led Zeppelin's songs are written about the Lord Of the Rings. Art inspires art, it always has, and always will.

Not really the point I am trying to convey.

No evidence, apart from an image of a tweet of uncertain veracity.

Well done, another useless conspiracy theory.

Oh.  Hello.  Yeah, just come right on into my thread and insult hours of work without understanding what is going on in the slightest.

Thanks.

Almost makes me think all you did was look at the pretty pictures and skip the complicated words?   I would advise watching the video too.  Y'know, because it is the BACKBONE of the argument you casually threw to the wind?

Sarcasm aside, it is obvious you read little or nothing.

Fixed various grammatical errors. Added slight clarifications to key points. Overall tidied up main post.

OMG... Such "music" and such "words" for this music can do only one thing: blow up your mind. How can be anyone inspired by this??

Looks like the mistery of the worst game ending in game development history is not a mistery anymore. BioWare was indocrinated by a silly trash-death-metal band...

Hmm... To OP: you know, there might be even more evidence on this case... Anyone watched the entire game titles? Is there a "Special Thanks" section? If so, were there names of the band members?

The song stole the stock image in the first place so that's pointless to argue. Starchild is not the name of the catalyst. The song itself has almost nothing to do with the story. Even if Casey listened to it, it's still weak.

That said I want my 8 minutes back that I wasted listening to that trashy song. It has nothing musically redeemable about it. Just fast notes played with all the feeling of an industrial robot with a dying animal for a singer.

"You cannot save them anymore."  -Line by starchild present in lyrics

"It's too late now." -Similar line by starchild present in lyrics.

"The dream only ends, when the worlds come to an end."  Shepard's dream/nightmare of the child only ends when the reapers destroy the worlds.  Worlds = Everything the reapers took over, including earth.  Parallels the 50,000 year cycle concept and Shepard's inability to save the child.

"You cannot escape to the dark streams of the sea,"  Concept of inevitability and inability to flee.  I believe Harbenger said "You cannot escape" somewhere or other.

"to suppress your dreams"  Shepard's dreams of the inability he had to save the child killed on the shuttle.

"that I'm wasting my life, destroying my dreams"  Shepard killed himself and set himself free from his dreams.  Destroying his fear of others being destroyed by wasting his life to do so.  Theme of sacrifice.

"Nothing can keep you away from the need to create
'cause your path is free..."
Free path of organic life leads, as Starchild puts it, "Inevitably to the creation of their own destruction".  Sounds A LOT like the struggle between biotics and synthetics.

"like streams of fear running through my heart
And it's wearing me down until I'm gone
."  Evidence for the indoctrination folks?

"Something is dying, yet something is born"
The very core concept the Reapers hold over organics every 50,000 years.

"Storms of new energy
flows in the depths of my mind
"  And here we have the infamous SPACE MAGIC.  Crucible brought "new energy flows" and Shepard controlled it with his mind.

"New constellations are born
in total harmony of perfection"
One of two things, IMO:  Reapers might open up new relay links to civilizations on the rise for the next 50,000 year cycle.  Born in total harmony of perfection could possibly mean creation of Reapers?  Not certain.

"And the dissonant unbalance was broken
as the colours fell straight from the light"
Obvious.  Dissonant unbalance = the new issue of Shep making it to the citadel.  I  need not explain the color BS.

"... But there is no end to creation
"  No end to the cycles.  Over and over they happen, simultaneously destroying and creating.

I see plenty.

An awful lot of coincidences to be written off. And it does explain the abysmal quality of the ending, it was taken from a youtube video. More eyes equals better quality. Always. I can't image that the entire writing team let this ending pass.

And it was stolen from DE, so I'd say they have about zero artistic integrity now.

Lots of people weren't seeing the links between the lyrics and ME3.

I was more than happy to add those into the main post.

Nobody can look me in the eyes and tell me this isn't where they got the ideas from. Coincidences are something like 30,000 to 1 as pure coincidence.

Yep it is.

Little things like "originality" and "doing your own work" have no place in art this deep.

For the record, that's not the origin of that photo. It's a stock image, just google "Winter on Mars" or even "Winter landscape" and it'll be one of the first images to pop up.

And that Tweet was proven fake, if I recall.

I think it'd be good to mention when the video was uploaded to drive the point home that it's not just a coincidence.
