I have a ruthless, renegade shepard. He's regularly let innocent people die just so he could get the job done. He sacrificed the workers just because he wanted to put a bullet between balak's 4 eyes. He didnt send escort with chakwas and told her off for complaining that he let the crew die. He shouldn't react to the death of one child, aka. the people he couldn't save, like this. He purposefully makes decisions against saving people if it means punishing the wicked and has never faltered in this.
But then he loses it during those dreams in ME3? Those dream sequences should have interrupts that allow you to customize your reactions. I think the way shepard reacts currently should be the paragon interupt. For someone who wants to save everyone the dream sequences play out in character, but for someone who doesnt concern himself with the individual it seems like he should react more with ambivalence than compasion. I could levy this against the opening scene where he sees the kid die. I'm not saying the plotline shouldn't exist, but it should allow for custom responses based on how you personally feel about the situation. that is all.
Do you think the Dream Sequences should have paragon/renegade interrupts?
