Why hasn't Casey Hudson defended his vision?

I'm just curious, it seems like something that should have been done by now. A large part of the fanbase is upset and yet Bioware stayed completely silent for about two weeks, aside from some cryptic twitter messages hinting at a "true" ending. Now there are official statements coming out and an official DLC in the works, but for an issue that deals largely with artistic integrity I think it's important that the person with the vision defend their original vision. So wtf is going on?

Because he hammered it out on a legal pad as a rough first draft and got it passed off as a final product with no peer review or consistency-checking. Sort of like what George Lucas did with the entire prequel series, except for this one it poisoned ALL the series, can't just pretend it never happened.

Artistic integrity my ass, all game developers care about is money. As they should be, as its a business, not an art. So, they thinking what decision will bring them more money, and will act accordingly in April.

What's there to defend? Everyone knows how awful it is and it's been picked apart on every level.

Maybe he's skeered.

After all, he seems to believe all the smashing, perfect reviews from the gaming media. And they do tend to paint us as frothing, rabid dogs. <_<

Maybe Mr. Hudson thinks we'll reach through the computer screen and bite him, giving him rabies. :P

Remember BioWare said they would make a statement about the ending at the end of March, we still have another week. :)

Internet Rabies is a serious issue.   It happens more than you'd think.

You sad sad man :/ Video game is an art, and whatever you think ME3 writers consider it that way. I think that's why they're so unreasonnable on this matter. Wounded artistic pride.

Art is subjective, all of life is 'art' its the biggest distraction in this whole mess.

Mass Effect is as artistic as a Formula One Car, we can appreciate its beauty but if the engine doesnt work, or there is a flaw with the Formula One car, people fix it, they dont cry and say you cant touch it because its art.

drop all this art crap, we have established all videogames are Art, that doesnt stop them being also broken

Vision? What vision. Drew left the ME team 3 years ago and took all the vision with him.

because he has a brain (no really, I genuinely think he's a pretty smart guy all things considered) and has a responsibility to act professionally.

in this case acting professionally is waiting to be told what he's allowed to say, and even working to create the epilogue content.

I had a better vision that time I smoked some weed and then downed a can of fourloko.

Oh wait, no, that was just vomit...and it was still better than this vision of his.

Perhaps his parents finished the game and called him back home to have a little parent to son chat with him?

Because he doesn't have to interact with you filthy gamer peasant cretins.

He, as a professional video game developer, is above having to explain his artistic vision to minds too feeble to comprehend them

So...you're saying he's grounded without internet until...oh...the heat death of the universe?
