Quick find a German 6th grader to write up that new ending.

Why German? Maybe this time they should tap that hotbead of talent that is India. I've always felt that ME could benefit from a distinctly Bollywood flavor.

So......the ending of ME3 was written by a seven year-old? Ah. It shows.

EDIT: Oops 12 year-old I meant....it still shows. Image IPB

My 13 year old started ME1 this week.  If he gets through Me2 and Me3, I'll be sure to let you know the outcome.

You're right....you're right. A kid would have written a much better ending than what we got. I was displacing my frustration.

Hmmm, so we can't get to choose from a wide variety of endings based on the variables we chose throughout the game. Instead, some 12-year-old German kid chose the end for all of us.

I hope to god that duct rat you see throughout the game isn't supposed to be bioware's rendition of that little bastard.

What.. the .. what? Really? I was hoping this was fake. Too ridiculous to be true.. but.. it is?

What the crap, Hudson? Really. Wait, why the heck is some little kid sending letters about the ending? It's an M rated game! None of this makes sense! I would use the Jackie Chan reaction image for this, but I'm pretty sure someone else has beaten me too it.

Apparently Bioware isn't on Earth anymore, they must come from Bizarro World.

Ah yes. I would sooo love the ending where everyone come out and get together in a masssive single coreographed combination of song, bright coloured costume and synchronized dancing!

note1: not sarcasm.
note2: if anyone need an example, see the ending of slumdog millionare.

Mac Walters is right about leaving some things up to the imagination, but not the resolution of a trilogy's plot and characters. You leave things like Tali's face and the Reapers' motivation to the imagination.

I just read it in the app, so apparently it's true, but.. ME is an M rated game. PEGI 18 in Europe. They don't mind listening to the advice of someone who shouldn't even be playing the game?

After revealing that he is the Catalyst the Star Child sings o/` Now that you are heeerrrreeee.  I know that my solution just does not wooorrrkkk.  But in your choice, a new solution is neeearrrr o/`

While singing all the reapers and ships in orbit do a dance number as the Star Child tells you:  o/` It'll be easy to destrooooy the Reapers.  But perhaps instead you want Controoooool.  Or choose the transhuman Synthesis.  Just don't ask me about the Keeeaaapppers. o/`

So how about we lock ALL the kids in the world in a huge basement so nobody could ruin the new ending?

Continued, because I thought of more:

After the Reapers and Allied ships stop dancing in the stars the Bollywood Star Child informs in song. o/` I know what you're thinking. You wish you were killed by Maurader Shiiiielldddsss! But I don't think you get how much power you wiiiieeellllldss! o/`

o/` This is the ending. TIM and Anderson are gooooonnnneee. And you can only wait for so loooonnnng o/`

Shepard starts dancing and singing: o/` Oh Star Child... you were forced on me. But now I seeeeeeeee. I don't like any, you choices are all wrong. I'm a Mass Effect devoteeeeeeeee! o/`

Star Child sings o/` You must choose. o/`

o/` Where is Deeeelaaaay? The choice to make you leave? Give me that, just leave and go aways... don't destroy the Mass Reeeeellllaaaaayyys o/`

Wow Bioware just lost all credibility, 7th grade kid really? Bioware get a clue. End of the Line makes me sick that I still buy Bioware games after that fail DA:II.

filetemo wrote...

The purpose of the ending was not to
provide closure but "to make sure players felt certain feelings so the
end sequence was written to provoke these feelings" rather than provide
story closure

So why bioware tell other wise, it will provide closure. Because they know if they didnt' lie no one was gonna buy their game.

You know what, cut out the Normandy scene entirely and I find closure in the endings. That freakingly stupid scene ruins any sort of closure because it asks too many questions than answers them.

If you think encouraging violence against children, swearing, and insults are the way to keep a thread open, you have another think coming.

End of line.
