This is one complaint I actually do have, I understand its not feasible to show everyone or everything that happens in the final battle but the war assets should have given bigger influence in the final battle or at least unlocked specific cutscenes featuring the larger factions in action as you progress, not just warping in. The fight with Sovereign in ME1, was much better executed in my personal opinion.
War Assets = useless. missed opportunity

The amount of threads or posts I've made in support of this issue is staggering.

I figured there were lots of threads already but these forums move so fast. lol.
And I think the war asset issue gets swept under the rug because most people are concerned about the ending. I think both issues go hand in hand.
Bioware has so much tied up in these war assets....singleplayer, multiplayer, iOS apps....I think the game's greatest flaw is that after all that effort (and money for some people), you get next to nothing out of it.

Don't worry, it hasn't been swept under the rug.

So true. I can't believe that after all the trouble you spend in the game, searching all the planets for every single asset, all you get is three four more ships into the space battle cutscene.TeamR wrote...

They should also address this issue in the coming dlc.(if it is coming...)

Terribly, terribly late to this discussion, am I not?
100% agree with the OP, biggest missed opportunity in the history of gaming.
Change the godchild for any of the ideas in this or any other similar thread and suddenly ME3 is a brilliant game and the ME Shepard trilogy would be perceived as a true work of art, on par with LOTR and the original Star Wars.
Sadly, someone decided their "vision" was far better. Oh, what a terrible, terrible decision.
