So I've already gone through the game the first time and I noticed that I can't choose the last Paragon/Renegade option. I assumed that I didn't have enough reputation points (Although it was full). So I go through my second playthrough and still I can't choose the last Paragon/Renegade option. Can someone tell me why I can't choose the two options? (Don't be a spoiler by telling what happend)

You have to use the blue "Paragon" option every time you meet him - starting on Mars. You know, "try" to convince him to join you. Otherwise, no matter your reputation you will not be able to persuade him to... well, you will see.
