Of course. Really, my only desire is that the majority of the endings are balanced. Essentially I want there to be horrible endings available, or at least I don't mind it, but I want all the "victory" endings to have similarly balanced consequences so that none is the out and out better result. This is what I think DA:O did very well.Heather Cline wrote...
Lord Aesir having some Reapers escape is a possibility or something similar *nods* But that would be fleshed out in an actual writing and implementation stage. We would have possibilities so that you could choose what ending you wanted for the best ending but of course as i stated it would only be one of the possible endings. there would also be bad and horrible endings too.

Not to drag you back into our earlier discussion, Lord Aesir, but to address Heather, I think Refuse ending would accomodate this as well. The bulk of the Reaper forces would be destroyed above Earth, but not all of them - they are spread throughout the galaxy, weakened, but not gone. If they leave, there's no telling if or when they might come back, sort of like the existing Control and even Synthesis endings. If they don't, then what's left of the galaxy's military forces would have to slowly hunt them down.Lord Aesir wrote...

Don't get me wrong, I'm the first one that wants an "happy" ending (closure with LI and squad = "happy" because the galaxy is still pretty much ****ed up)

Lord Aesir agreed. DA:O did that very well with consequences for the endings. No matter what you chose there were consequences that were far reaching and that no one may see coming.

Why gamers don't deserve an OPTION to have an happy ending? An OPTION that is almost impossible to get, but still is available for them? Because you don't want it?
I agree with you.
I'll be damned but I admit. I really wanted the game to end happily. Or at least have the OPTION to have the game end happily.
Goddamnit! That doesn't make me a bad person.
What have the world come to when we can't even be allowed to find a little happiness in the fiction we flee to to get away from all the evil, tragedy and despair that surrounds us in the real world?!
Give me my happy ending. I deserve it and so does the story itself!
And no, im not demanding anything. Im not telling BW to remove or change the current endings. Just add more possible endings.

The only thing that I can't stand about the "change the ending" and "respect the artists" movements is how many, but not ALL, of their members tended to be quickly resort to personal insults, profanity, and conspiracy theories to spam the BSN.

We don't need any happy endings. Grey endings more like it. That's the one I picked, because the rest were atrocities, but if there was some happy ending, then it would be just useless to have a grey ending. It wouldn't be nice. It would require you to fail at a game to get that kind of ending. I personally never accept failure, but I can't say I'd enjoy the happy endings that much. Bittersweet stuff are the best imo, for Shepard's story.

And I haven't seen anyone asking that the current endings be replaced with a happy, sunshine and bunnies ending, just that there be a more hopeful choice. The issue is choice for the outcome. If you have the choice to achieve the endings you like, why should it matter whether others have a choice to gain the endings that they find satisfying?
That's silly. I don't have a choice to have a less hopeful outcome if Shepard can choose a more hopeful one. A choice where one option is clearly better than all other options is no choice at all.
*looks at words 'silly' and 'better'. Here we go with labels.
What would make a more hopeful choice "better" or "silly"? Nothing except the mind of the beholder. So why would having a more hopeful choice take away from anyone's ability to choose one that's less hopeful?
I'm certainly not advocating changing to only positives. I'm not advocating taking away players choice to work towards and choose any of the current endings; just to provide options that satisfy those of us who don't find them satisfying. You would have your choice and I would have mine. That's all.

Miranda (I think) said during the making of Project Lazarus that Shepard's brain was intact because of the N7 helmet. In the "leak" he talks about synthetic chips in the brain which is.. impossible. Why put synthetics when you have a working brain? The Illusive Man also said to preserve Shepard's "individuality" as much as possible.
Messing around with his brain can be problematic.

Well, it says it isn't actually Shepard, but the Catalyst in a cyborg body or something. Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if it was fake, just thought I'd throw it out there.Heather Cline wrote...
Lord Aesir just finished reading it. Not sure if it is true but how in the hell would Shepard's body survive 1 thousand years. Says the new game Mass Shift would take place 1 thousand years after the end of ME3. Even with cybernetics Shepard's body wouldn't survive that long. I think it's a pretty good troll piece to be honest.
