IF this is real, it seems to be early notes for at least two different things: DLC and a future game, or DLC and multiple future games, or DLC, an expansion, and a future game.

One of these obviously occurs during or soon after the events of ME3.

One or more obviously occur something like 500 years in the future.

They are taking into account the 'Control' and 'Destroy' endings of ME3. With the 'Control' ending Shepard, as we know him, is gone but we have some fusion of the Catalyst AI and Shepard.

With the 'Destroy' ending Shepard is still alive but really messed up due to his cybernetic implants being destroyed so there is a quest to find tech to restore him.

Of course whoever is making these notes also references that the Dx (director) doesn't want to drag out the character of Shepard so who knows if any of these musings would come to fruition.

In the 'Destroy' ending Joker is also changed from EDI dying.

We have a war in the SOL system, Turians and humans integrating, races trying to make the long trek home.

It doesn't fix the issues with ME3 and it's ending, but there are some cool things here. It also hints that in some future release that takes place waaaaay in the future other galaxies might be explored.

Or this could all just be fake.

CC = Character Cast

CC1-3 = the casts of Mass Effect 1-3

CC4+ = casts of Mass Shift (*edit: and beyond)

Don't really know what to think about this... while it is a continuation if true, the atmosphere just doesn't seem to gel with the soul of Mass Effect at all and would be far too jarring. *shrug*

Pros and Cons of discussing this information on BWSN:

Pros:
1: If this thread retains active dialogue and gets locked/deleted, it's more than likely true
2: If it is possible information, we can give subtle hints as to how we would like to see it turn out.

Cons:
1: If this is true, I don't want to participate in building the story for Bioware, they get my money for them to do all the hard work, otherwise it should be free.
2: This might not be true.

Wrex's "distant granddaughter" is set in CC4+, which is supposedly Mass Shift. This is at the time Liara is presumably a matriarch. Note that in the proposed DLC according to these documents (CC1-3), Tali is trying to bring back the mass effect technology.

It's possible Liara got home on a transport vessel that managed to actually chug its way back, or Tali was successful in bringing back the technology. Or it just took a damn long time, but she survived the way back, knowing that Asari have 1000 year life spans, it's feasible. Of course, BW probably has deus ex machina created for this too.

As for Ashley/Kaidan committing suicide/trying, look at all the **** they've been through, Eden Prime, Shepard with Cerberus, being made a spectre by Udina then him working with Cerberus too. That coupled with the loss of their loved ones. Don't tell me that's not plausible, you'd be lying. Especially if Shepard DOES indeed die in the end, then it's even more likely.

Ahh I thought it could have stood for some kind of internal reference number. But this makes much more sense.

Again, could be a tricky way for a forger to create something to seem legit, but if legit, yea...thanks.

Not as bad as some... and I can see several outs to easily slide it back without really changing anything.  This is not one of those ways...

I don't give a damn about 600 years later - I just want ME 3 immediate ending and its aftermath going forward for the next year or so. In my playthrough Sheppard lived - then what? The rest landed on some God forsaken planet - then what happened?

They use uberskills, fix the ship and do what it do. What else? Bioware isn't going to change the ending, they're just trying to explain it because it justifies the storyline the OP posted, or something similar..

Man... whether or not this is true, it still depresses me how we got bummed by bioware so they could milk the series. All this after people from bioware said they could have so much more creative freedom in the endings since its the last game in the Mass Effect series and they aren't restricted. This is such bs.

This exactly what I'm thinking.

If there's any truth to this rumour/leak then this means that ME is going to go for a long milking and ME 3 is not that conclusion and self contained trilogy that we wished it was.

Also, shouldn't EDI be dead if Shepard is alive and vice versa?
Why is there a new Shadow Broker if Liara is still alive?

Maybe Liara gave up the position to an ally or friend. As far as EDI or Shepard being dead, OP made it clear in the first post that they were assimilated + the starchild into a character called "The Advent".

The more I think about this, the more legit it feels, because they've always wanted to justify the ending they made, not make a new one. This ties in perfectly with their ending.

She might've passed the torch onto her replacement. If CC4 has her at the Matriarch stage, she's pretty old by then.

Definatly fake. Which is good, because this is a terrible idea. The people on 4chan get a little too into their storytimes on alt-endings for ME3. Everybody hates the Catalyst, so have Shepard possessed by the Catalyst = instant fan rage.
