Uh oh guys we got a Paul Blart forum cop here. Back it up, back it up. :P I'm guessing your reporting it based on your honest belief that the OP is trolling for some reason and not because this thread just so happens to contradict your viewpoint (indoctrination theory in your signature) on the endings. Glad we can all have an equal discussion on this controversial subject. :)

Quit trolling, stuff like that WILL get this thread locked. Let him do what he wants. The real discussion is about what OP posted.

This isn't real at all. I mean come on, the troll who made this even threw in the three species they figured everyone would be most interested in seeing as squadmates: Volus, Elcor, and Hanar. Now let's be real here: would Bioware really take the extra effort to get these three completely different races programmed into the game with all the different moves and powers they would need? There's a reason nearly everyone you fight and all your squadmates are roughly the same size, shape, and moves the same.

Not to mention it just looks absolutely laughable. Shepard fused with the Catalyst, suicidal squadmates, etc. We've got Bippo the friendly Reaper who's inconspicuously not dead, a biotic Elcor, a jerk Hanar... I mean come on! All we need now is Conrad Verner, a hippie Krogan, and Bob the sentient toaster to finish up this pack of rejects.

Not to mention, way to completely finish off invalidating our choices! Reapers randomly still alive, everyone automatically with (or without) half synthetic parts...

This would only work if Drew Carey narrated the game.

"Welcome to Mass Effect 4, where the consequences are made up and the choices don't matter! We're gonna start with a game called The Rachni and Why are you Conspicuously Absent/Randomly Alive AGAIN."

This is obviously a troll. I've lost a lot of faith in Bioware but not nearly enough to buy this for a second.

Bioware is seriously missing the point. If its real it means there is a war with all the species left in the sol system.
So basically everything you did right in ME 3 was for nothing. Making peace with the turians and Krogan, Quariens and Geth, was pointless, as they all kill each other or die anyway. Mordin and Legion died for nothing (and I was happy with their deaths before the current endings as they died for a just cause)
As it stands the current ending(s) imply that everything we did in ME 3 was for nothing, these
new endings are just rubbing salt in the wound.

Please BIOWARE LISTEN!

How, exactly, is virtually every species in the galaxy (especially if you had high War Assets) in the Sol System NOT going to end up in war?  Most of them can't even survive in the Sol System at all.  Those that can survive are going to war over what little food and fuel remains.  The militaries can't simply take a mass relay out of the system anymore.  They're stuck there, and unless Bioware pulls a deus ex machina out of their butts, it would take any of them thousands of years to leave the Sol System, even at light speed.

Many of us realized that the Sol System would be completely ****ed after the ending before this leak even came out, unless of course Joker happened to land on a world of limitless resources and it happens to be near to Earth (wouldn't that be convenient?)

I've got enough faith in  Bioware to believe they would do something like this. Biotic Elcor???  They read my mind!

This is actually rather interesting stuff. All except for the Sol war which, while understandable, seems to kind of negate even more of your actions. You united the galaxy to...fight amongst each other some more. Yay?

I could get behind (most) of this stuff.

It's logical, though depressing.

Agreed. But it's still a heck of a lot better than what we've had up till now. It makes sense and has coherence to it. I'd prefer something happier but I could see this giving me a satisfying conclusion. And if they don't reveal Shepard to have been possessed by the Catalyst until the next game then people could reliably end this trilogy without thinking about it.

Though part of me liked the idea of this TRULY being Shepard's last journey.

Yes
this. It just makes everything you do, now even MORE pointless. Salt in
the wound. Why can't Bioware just look at the constructive Polls like
they used to?

Some of it, yeah. It's regrettable in many ways but if done right it could be a depressing BUT satisfying end to the journey. A lot of it is actually really interesting material to consider. Not ideal but it works.

To be fair the reason I haven't outright dismissed this "leak" is because Bioware has had a HOST of leaks for this game. Constantly and consistently leaked material that has eventually, after being slandered as trolling, been proven correct. Though the material seems more questionable for a few reasons than previous leaks. Still worth discussing though.

The leak goes out of its way to mention the Elcor is "smaller and unable to live amongst its own kind". That's a very gameplay specific concern where a developer might be trying to fit an otherwise large avatar into a smaller frame for gameplay purposes. That's why I have not yet dismissed this leak on the terms of the included characters.

Well, they already did several times in ME 3, why stop there?

Dear God, Bioware. Please don't make this, I'm perfectly fine with dlc with all the character closure/marriage in dlc, with everyone setting off for their own goals, as long as we're unaware of this whole Advent mumbo-jumbo until the "release" of "Mass Shift" (lol@name). This Advent thing is also stupid in general.

I'm pretty skeptical about a hanar, elixir and volus so I'm inclined to think Mass Shift is fake. I AM okay with this dlc though...

Ugh, this looks so not promising.  Advent, seriously?  Just kill me now.  Everything player driven that happens in ME3 is completely irrelevant.   ME3 might as well not have happened.

ME3 made same thing to both ME1 (disqualified as BS, if the Catalyst is the Citadel, why Soverign was needed) and ME2 (which just could have not happened, almost completely irrelevant). Not surprising if you ask me.

You missed my point, but that’s probably because I was not
clear. I know earth would end up like the movie 'The Road', just starvation and
death everywhere.  Just don't have the
relays be pointlessly destroyed, I know bioware gets a hard on for ''Sacrifices''
But I sacrificed Mordin and Legion. I get it, now why can't the ending be worth
winning now?

Advent? Further space magic? Elcor, hanar and volus squadmates? This would be horrible, and you're being trolled.

While I AM a Indoctrination theory supporter........This idea isn't half bad and actually, kind of, makes up for the ****ty starchild thing in ME3.

We will all know for sure.... Incoming announcement of April 24th DLC at PAX ;-P

They DID say this will be the end of Mass Effect......but not MASS SHIFT *wink wink wink*

Whether it's just a thorough trolling or completely legitimate, it's still a part of ME universe lore worth saving. It's a good read, and it's definitely interesting.

Assuming this contains an ounce of credibility, April 24th is still way too early for any of this to happen. (Unless they've been working on it for months... SPECULATION!)

Though my biggest concern about the validity of this is:

Liara being alive but we have Wrex's Distant Relative. Krogan live almost as long of lives as Asari. At most it would probably be wrex's youngest kid.

Hanar being a squadmember. I have a hard time considering how it would work.

WHY the catalyst would bother uploading himself into Shepard. Unless he had another motive outside of what we're given in ME3 I can't understand what purpose it would serve, and if he did have another motive, what in the world stopped him from doing it during the millions of years before it?

Unless...the Catalyst never controlled the reapers to begin with. The reapers were the gatekeepers of the Catalyst. They prevented organics from creating synthetics capable of releasing the Catalyst on the world. The catalyst uses Shepard, who is part synthetic, to escape his prison by offering him a way to destroy the reapers.

Interesting...very interesting...
