How come the script for the continuation of a multi-million dollar franchise gets leaked, but the KFC secret recipe is locked up tighter than a war criminal in a gulag?

Attempts to expand the ME universe? Make it an icon like Star Wars?
ME1 - presentation of Reapers: investigation, betrayal, fight the reaper. Add: introduction of the universe.
ME2 - presentation of Cerberus and Reaper's deep motives through mystical Collectors. Add: local conflicts.
ME3 - culmination of ME trilogy. The most decisive battle for all the cycles of the galaxy. Reapers and Cerberus destroyed. Add: global conflicts.

ME4(MS) - What type of conflict (threat) can beat the Epicness of ME1,2,3 ? Another "DA2" try?
And if so, if it will succes, means ME1-3 is nothing, just a lesson of history and a bridge how Dark Galaxy become a Dark?
If it's true:
The only sad thing for me that I need to wait my happy end (marrage) till 2014
Also like a Shepard but not a Shepard? It's interesting. It's better that it's Shepard and better than it's another person. Also that our lovely crew will be is always good.

It's fake defend it all you want but it's hardly the first time 4chan's ever come up with something like this.

It's also not the first time BioWare has intentionally "leaked" their "plan" on 4chan.  Yeah, I went there: Would it shock you, in this day of viral marketing, if BioWare's writers were to run their ideas through their fans like this to see what sticks and what doesn't?  It's the only way to explain how massive leaks like this keep happening.  BioWare is doing it intentionally to gauge their fans' reactions.

What we're reading here is NOT their plan.  It's their proposal, and they'll keep what we respond well to.

....... so yes, BioWare, I do want a mini biotic elcor party member.  FUND IT!  :o

4chan came up with alot of crap about WoW awhile back when i was playing it, everything turned out to be wrong not that i took it seriously, 4chan also recently had a post from a " bioware dev " detailing the ME3 DLC again i never took it seriously, maybe you're willing to believe it might be real but i've seen enough from 4chan to know nothing there should be taken to heart.

Theory: Star-Infant and Shepard fight over Shepard's mind over the course of "Mass Shift", each fighting for and representing different values and goals. With each personality "shifting" back and forth throughout the game, Star-Toddler being a much darker version of Renegade and Shepard being Paragon/Renegade (yet to a less dark extent as Star-Kid, as he still embodies Heroism). This forces the player to keep track of both morality sets, both Shep and Star-Midget. In the end, the side that is stronger in it's beliefs wins, in an epic battle in Shepard's mind.

?

Holy ****, wow, THAT is a cool idea, and it makes the title make sense.  Imagine if, instead of Paragon or Renegade, you basically have to choose Shepard or Catalyst throughout the game.  At the end of the game, one of them will "survive", and you determine which one ultimately wins their in-body battle.  "Shift" could also refer to the fact that the series is inevitably going to go in a new direction..

But Bioware's last "new direction" was DA2.....  :(

That last bit makes it pretty clear it isn't real. Hanar and Elcor in a bigger role? Rather unlikely. A Reaper that wasn't part of the group that just tried to kill us? Yeah, that's been done already. His name was Legion.

Say what you will, I'm on board with the idea though. It sounds crazy, that's how I know it'll be cool if it happens.

Hanar and Elcor in a bigger role, yeah, by the time Liara is a matriarch, plenty of evolution could've occured.

Some people said similar things hours ago, yet here we are. :innocent: I hope they don't close this thread, let us speculate damnit! It's a part of creating the universe.

Further considerations:

The relay network acts as a locking mechanism by drawing dark matter from stars. Dark matter fields are the only thing capable of disrupting the signals able to be broadcast at short range by the catalyst. The relays pull dark matter from stars in order to power the massive dark matter field surrounding the detainment area of the Catalyst.

This directly pulls in the foreshadowing in ME2 that was later cast aside.

Oh. You mean 4chan. Why didn't you say so? The guy who (accurately) leaked LoTSB and Arrival posted there before too.

Because most of the people on these forums think that it's impossible for anything posted on 4chan to be true.

OH ITS JUST DEM 4CHANS TROLLING AGAIN

With good reason. Your defense of 4chan is very strange, I have to say.

But, 4chan is also the place where that "The Truth" rumor came about shortly after the ****storm about the endings started. It said something about it coming out in April and being free. Bioware has said we'd learn more about what they're planning in April. Doesn't mean it will be released that month but, I'm hoping that guy was at least partially right. For all we know it could be real but the guy wants to put in some false things as well just to throw us off.

It could work if planned thoroughly and correctly, and with no more "Spaaaace Maaaagic" :wizard: If that was the case, I would be okay with it. Otherwise, as it currently stands, I would be content with DLC. I'm on the Liara bandwagon and want my blue babies...

In that DLC I want NO foreshadowing of the Advent, allow players to have closure and part ways with the series feeling content, with the later option of furthering the universe if they see fit.

I don't really like this.

Forcing more changes on MY Shepard, ****ing hell. Not only that, merging MY Shepard with the Catalyst to create a BW Shepard and not MY Shepard. How can anyone support this?

I like the concept of the Terminator pack. Although it's a weird name for what just seems to be a closure DLC. But I question how enjoyable it will be if this isn't MY Shepard. Is my LI marrying Shepard? Is it still MY Shepard or some bloody cyborg that 'hates synthetics'? And what if I romanced Liara and I play 'Mass Shift'? Will BW's new Shepard (or 'Advent') dictate how that turns out and it (once again) not be based on my decisions.

I hate this. These is MY Shepard (or yours) and MY relationships. This looks like it is going to dictate what happens and fundamentally change MY Shepard and his/her decisions.

Why can't they just end Shepard's story and have someone else become the 'Advent' and have the trilogy revolve around them. This seems to do unnecessary damage.

I cannot see how anyone can support this.

If there was any legitimacy to any of this, do you guys honestly think it would be allowed to stay up here? I'm calling fake.

Nope, I'm making a new line, feel free to hold it with me.  It's soft, strange, and a brave new mass effect.

This sucks, real or not. Also, it doesn't reference several ME2 characters at all. Suspicious.

my issue with this whole topic is that there was no proof provided. crazed fans stalk these boards with a sliver of hope that bioware will announce something big regarding the ending. I should know, I am one of these people. what sucks is when some troll decides to stir up some hype by claiming jesus whispered the blueprints of future dlc into his ear, and then the whole forum gets heated, starts debating various theories, sharpens their pitchforks, etc. it's all unncessesary drama.

i'm not against specuating. but this is a false claim. people can say "i think shep was indoctrinated for the following reasons: X, Y, Z" but saying "I HAVE PROOF OF UPCOMING DLC, EVERYONE LOOKY" is a cheap shot to those who are seeking actual information.

proof or gtfo

It says in the "notes" that the Advent (Star-Infant taking over) will possibly be foreshadowed. But that's just it, that's how it should end. Allow the player closure with the series if they want, with a SLIGHT, really vague cliffhanger in the last few seconds (like Shepard's left eye looking similar to TIM's for a quick flash).

Let the player choose to end the series and create a future for Shep in their head if they want, closure should allow that. At the same time, allow a possibility for them to continue following the universe in future installments. IF THEY WANT!

Listen Bioware.
