If this was true then wouldn't someone from Bioware come and delete this topic?
I'm calling fake.
If bioware closed it because it was true, don't you think it would tip people off about it?

You killed a beautiful franchise, BioWare. Good going. Now let it rest in peace, for god's sake.

Considering the incoherency of the current endings, however, I really wouldn't be surprised if they went ahead and forced Advent on the player. It's artistic and deep, gaiz. You just don't get it. /vintageglasses
I admit the idea of Advent is somewhat attractive, though, with the multiple-personality disorder. It's bogus, yes, but it does posit some interesting conflict for your crew-mates and yourself. And in that sense, it gives Shepard the chance to wrest control from the Catalyst and EDI. So perhaps Shepard isn't completely lost.
Honestly, I'm hoping this is bull. Coming from 4chan, it likely is.

Also, has anyone considered if this could be an expansion pack similar to awakening?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these all rely on the assumption that you picked destroy...... They can't just ignore the people who picked synthesis and control.
They ignored the people who had Shepard die in ME2.
They are not above ignoring endings they give you in new franchises. Developers will often give you massively divergent endings and then "Canon" something for future content. It makes sense for Shepard not to have a future in those endings.
Also, it makes logical sense. You are sacrificing yourself for some sort of benefit ON TOP OF stopping the reapers. You either get them as your personal toy space ships or you get to force your will to turn every organic into a part synthetic hybrid. Your sacrifice gains benefit.
In destroy you do the same as the other two endings, stop the reapers, and this assumes you live afterward as your "benefit".

That's another glaring issue that makes me even warier of this. They can't simply ignore players who swing the control or synthesis endings. Also, at the top it says 'canon'. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Bioware was clear in the regard that there is no canon in ME. Though, considering the lies regarding ME3, I really wouldn't be surprised if they canonized the game.
I mean, how else would they make a future for the series? They need that moniez, gaiz.

Maybe by "advancement of synthetics," they mean the creation of more of them.
IIRC, Casey Hudson said ME3 wasn't the last we'd see of Shepard, so it wouldn't be the first time something they said during development turned out to be totally wrong. And, anyway, they have an excuse to bring Shepard back because the name is "Advent" now, apparently. It is pretty convenient now that they left in one ending where Shepard could survive.
Some leaks from 4chan have turned out to be legit. I heard 4chan leaked Arrival, but I'm not sure.
Well of course, they're doing DLC, Mark Meer even said he's been contracted for DLC. So of course it's not the last we'd see of Shepard.

- Disclaimer - However, in case the upcoming DLC turns out to be going the way to confirm this in the end, I am 100% sure going to stay the hell away from any Bioware product (including the Victory Game products)

In a sense, there has always been a canon. You couldn't import an ME2 save where Shepard died at the Collector Base, so your story ended there.

Perhaps Shepard doesn't truly die in Control and synthesis. I could see it working for Control...but with Synthesis everyone would be half synthetic. It's really confusing and I don't see how they could make this work :/

True enough, considering how hard they rail-roaded final choices from ME2. It's sad, really. I just wish Bioware would stop waving the franchise about like it's tailored. Ah well, companies want their money. And what better way to gain said money than milking your IP for everything its worth? All I know is I'm done with their games. I won't be pre-ordering Dragon Age 3, nor will I be touching it until I see a deluge of videos and reviews detailing it in-and-out. And even then, I'm only renting or buying used.

I'll be honest, I am intrigued about this. I think it could be really interesting if true and would be willing to accept that Destroy is the cannon ending.

It's extremely convoluted. That's one reason I'm sort of reeling as to how they could make this work. The only way they could do so is negating control and synthesis, and canonizing the destroy ending.

All that being said, I see 4chan as the Nostradamus of the internet: sometimes the prophecy comes to pass, but they make so many predictions that some of them have to come true. And even if it is true, keep in mind that these notes would probably just be a 'first draft', and as any writer worth his salt would tell you: their first drafts are always terrible, meaning the final version would be drastically different from what we see anyway.
EDIT: And I better get my token Turian squadmate if there is a sequel, just because Turians are generally awesome.

Nah, if the November leak taught us anything, it's that leaks don't make a blind bit of difference to Biowares plans. Even if they say they'll make changes, they won't.
Not that I buy this being real, but if it were, it has potential to solve most of our problems.
Of course it also looks like it could just as easily make everything a hell of a lot worse.
But vague hope is better than our current no hope.
