Wait..there are people here who actually believe this?

I mean, I'm desperate for a new ending, but come on.

I don't believe it, but I also don't think that it's definitely fake.

In fairness to the doubters, 4chan has already burned the ME3 fans once with the whole fake "child's model name is really Harbinger" deal (which I never bought anyway, because I've dug into the ME3 files myself and never saw anything resembling that.).  And didn't all those rumors of "The Truth" DLC come from there as well?

So far, 4chan is batting .000 when it comes to providing accurate information about ME3.  So the fact that me and several others are even lending this credence is probably more than it deserves.

Yeah, it's not like 4chan has come up with real leaks about ME3 before or anything.  That never happened.  Ever.

Well, apparently someone on 4chan leaked info about LOTSB and Arrival. I didn't know that, but if it's true, it makes this have a greater chance of being real.

Irrelevant. 4chan managed to get everyone all worked up and excited over this supposed 'The Truth' DLC and that was proven to be nothing more than a hoax.

Wait so...Shepard becomes "not-Shepard" (Advent), and still has the option to marry Liara (presumably previous romance as prerequisite)? Why would Liara marry this new thing that's not Shepard? Sure, maybe there is a physical likeness, but that's kind of like a zombie...a physical shell devoid of its original soul. Oh well whatever. I'll judge it after the fan reviews come out after release.

Wait...Advent...? What? Sigh.

I wish they'd just let the Mass Effect universe go after Shepard. Let it be a stellar trilogy. I feel like a Mass Effect 4 would be a stretch at best.

Well it would be better than things currently stand, but still kinda a what the hell. Kinda odd that they couldn't wrap things up in a trilogy, and then follow up with this, sorta the main charecter, sorta not.

Then again this is off 4Chan. Sometimes they'll post something legit, but a lot of the time it's just BS someone made up.

After the current ending debacle, would EA let Casey Hudson near a games story again?

Edit: Sounds like destroy would be the canon ending.  I could see this happening, but I'm assuming it's fake.

Liara's "Mind Meld" in the last moments of ME3 could restore his memories perhaps?

A troll fanfic from 4chan. Still better than the Indoctrination Theory.

I don't know, friends. I used to work in entertainment and our creative producers would use very similar lingo when they wrote and emailed notes on new content. It's very "development pipeline" oriented. This looks like only a piece of a bigger picture, but I can say this: if it's fake, if it's fan or troll made, he/she knows the lingo appropriate to creative notes.

This has really gotten my attention. Does anyone know if there's any way of checking on this info? Probably not, but I'm convinced now of what I wrote above: it's either partially real, or it was crafted by someone who really knows what they're doing.

Besides what I wrote above, here's something that makes me think there's just a possibility of this being true:

In both Hudson's and Muzyka's statements, they hint that it's not the end of the ME universe. Additionally, although I think we've read multiple times that ME3's DLC wouldn't be post-Shepard sacrifice, they did leave open the possibility of having a new game in the franchise be after the ME3 ending.

If any of this is true (speculations!!) then it would make sense why we're getting "in game clarification" only as opposed to new, additional, alternative endings. It'd support what I wrote earlier this week that because BioWare is in fact crafting additions to this franchise that they can't change at this point--they've gone too far developing it--they're going to stick with the current endings.

I know it's all just crazy fan speculation right now, but I'd love to hear what the community thinks here.

I gotta say, to a layman such as myself, it sounds far more "technical" and brainstorm-ish than some of the more recent hoaxes we've seen. But if that IS the case, then whoever put it together spent a lot of time it making it seem authentic. I dont see someone out for a quick troll putting much effort into it. But then my optimism may be clouding my judgement....

It sounds more like it's like a "possession" to me: Shepard + EDI + Catalyst = Advent, but it takes a while to occur, thus the "dissociative identity disorder" maybe? Like it takes a while to actually manifest  itself. So maybe during that time, that's when all the "marriage branches" occur? But if that was the case, why would the "Advent" still be around by the time Liara hits her Matriarch stage...?

I wonder if, because of her "heroics" over the 3 ME games, she gets inducted into that status earlier, OR if, because of the state of the galaxy, the Asari bring her in prematurely.

Too many things to speculate.

Is this something we should be optimistic about? I'm not sure! haha. I assume so, if even an inkling of it is true...but it doesn't change the fact (and still supports) that BioWare is keeping the current ME3 endings. If they do, and if they do so because of these new potential games, they would have to write some amazing stories to rationalize the endings of ME3, and to keep me hooked (I don't doubt they could handle it though).

This is one time I wish we could get a Christ Priestly "this is fake/real" clarifier in the thread. Because it seems really interesting, but it seems like it'd be for a whole different game and not a ME3 addon/DLC...
