To be honest, i don't really care if thats BioWare's initial idea or EA's or Bugs Bunnys.

I mean, the current ending as it is broke a lot of immersion and connection people have brokered with Shepard throughout the last 5 years, but killing Shep off in secrecy, and let the body be claimed by the very enemy...talk about a shallow victory in ME3.

So whenever you decide to replay ME 1 to 3 then, you'll know regardless what you do for 100+ hours of gameplay, your soul will die and reaper starchild will own your body in the very end and all the things. Choices, shaping your story and your Shepard, basically everything thats the trademark of 3 Mass Effect games is pointless for the sake of Mass Shift in the end. I repeat myself....

Well I guess it just seems silly to keep a backlash lingering and growing in size. We wouldn't want a repeat of the endings/leaked script controversy ;D

I hope this is an elaborate ruse. Having Shepard indoctrinated is ok but having him/her being possessed by the catalyst? Really? This is all compounding the original problem isn't i?. The endings don't need that elaborate of a fix. Now I'm going cross-eyed.

The "Prothean planet on the edge of Sol" is illogical. The Sun would be indistinguishable from any other star to anyone on the edge of the system, so no jungle planet. And there is no way I would play as Starbrat and go along with his "no synthetics evar" ideas.

Did you even read the leaked script? It's pretty much identical to the final game, they didn't change or scrap anything.

Its weekend. The EA PR Team and Lawyers don't work right now, so they ain't allowed to say a word.

Expect a response by monday afternoon. After the PR Team of EA had time to read it, address it, toss around some ideas and then mail it to some poor fella at Bioware to come in here and act like he just stumbled over it.

Yeah, the fact he didn't go "Lol fake" is a bit unnerving.
I don't know, at this point God-Emotionless-Shepard and Naked-Volus would not surprise me that much.

Then again, it's just a PR twitter account...

Well don't be too worried, yet. Again I think it's simply because the community and forum mods on the weekend just don't know.

This is so friggin' elaborate that one side of me really wants to believe it, cause it's all too SPECIFIC to be false....

The other side of me wants to believe that this is the work of an epic Trollmaster, but again, some of the details...ugh.

I really hope this is true, so that BioWare can scrap the whole idea....it sounds absolutely terrible.

Exactly. Again almost all my posts on this thread have been speculation but this will most probably be what happens tomorrow whether or not the OP is true.

The part about EDI I could see... Both Shepard and EDI (Dr. Eva) were built by Cerberus - so not out of the question in my mind. 

I would be surprised if this was real though for two reasons 1) why would someone risk EA coming after them for leaking info about future games, this person seems to identify him/herself fairly specifically - I'm positive that contractors and employees are required to sign an NDA which would cover situations like this, and 2) Marriage? I have a hard time believing BW would do this - but stranger things have happened.

Personally, I really hope it's fake.  This abortion of a story would not only turn me off anything ME before or since, but pretty much gaming in general.  

If real, this pile of festering codswallop just screams:  "Our fans are fck'n retards.", and the backlash would bury Bioware.

...and they'd deserve it, at this point.
