Ok. So I thought of this a little more. This can work. Here's how:
If the "Synthesis" or "Merge" endings were chosen then that means Shepard can be possessed by the catalyst.
If the "Destroy" ending was chosen Shepard should remain him/herself upon resurrection and NOT be possessed.
We don't like having our Shepards plot-killed.  A reiteration:
Please give players the choice of having their Shepard being themselves or being possessed.

I like the idea of Terminator, but I want Shepard to be Shepard, not the catalyst. That, of course, is assuming this is real which it most likely isn't.

Exactly. First, if the person no longer works for the company as stated, then how would they get such information, or have the foresight to grab it (for internet posting) before leaving their position?  Unless they were let go last week, in which case it wouldn't be too hard to find them and sue them into poverty for breaking a NDA or non-competitive clause.

Second, There's a whole lotta suck in there.   And the last part, with the Hanar and Elcor, sounds like they're making a Blasto game.  If this is their idea of DLC, well it's clear.  Perhaps it's time to change the name of the company from BioWare to Advent. 

If it is true, well, I never quite finished ME3.  Got to the goodbyes, turned the game off, and watched youtube'd endings. In retrospect, a wise decision.

Well, it specifically mentions that you will never know that Shepard is possessed in the DLC. It won't mention it at all and Shepard will behave as normal.

It's no different than what happened after KOTOR where Revan goes off into dark space regardless of your ending.

It would end the trilogy on a proper note regardless. But even so, it mentions Casey is against the idea of re-using Shepard after ME3.

I would rather suffer the Fist if Fury nut punch that was the original ending, than this one. So a Liara marries a robot Shep? I mean, she said on the Cerberus base she new he wasn't a clone or anything because of their connection, yet she doesn't pick up on the fact that Shep is dead and it's Edi and Reaper Kid in his body now?!?!

If you aren't going to to it right BW, just stay away.

Probably fake. the whole thing is too perfectly terrible, the kind of thing that most fans experience in their worst nightmares. everyone knows EA is a horrible overbearing kind of company but at the same time they've realeased games that few people would put bets on like shadows of the dammed which sort of proves that they can't be uniformly evil to this extent. As for the storyline well I know that the ending felt wrong but this whole continuation just feels even wronger. I always guessed that there would be a continuation style DLC but if this was it then wow have EA lost touch with their market.

 I would like to point out, as a software developer, that if DA2 were in Alpha when it was pushed out the door it would have been absolutely chock full of bugs. Nearly unplayable. I don't mean a bad game. I mean frequent crashes, horrible bugs, very little polish.

Alpha doesn't even mean feature complete, and doesn't promise much besides 'it compiles'.

I very strongly doubt DA2 was in alpha status when it was released, and thus I tend to think of this 'leak' as BS.

Circular logic. If they are false rumors then there's no reason for the thread to be locked. It's still interesting fan speculation. If they are true, locking it would only draw attention to it. If a developer commented in a negative/positive way toward the rumors than it could prove troublesome for the developers down the line.

Commenting/Locking on their part is a lose-lose situation. They are far more likely to ignore it or say something along the lines of "We have nothing to announce about future games or content at this time".

I guarantee that's fake.. the NDA # # # # # # is usually referring to "Page # is under non-disclosure agreement".... so if this was on an electronic display board, as was stated, there would be no page numbers, and I guarantee Bioware's NDA probably covers -all- work.. they're not going to break it down like military to "This is Top Secret, this is classified, this is only secret, this is confidential-B"...

Having signed a gazillion NDA's related to software development, game development they're VERY broad and general. Usually in the way of "Nothing related to projects in development not already released to the public through official channels may be discussed or distributed without authorization by <name>"

They don't put NDA # # # # on them. They're just known to be covered under the NDA.. it's the marketing/public relations department that would consult with the management to determine what would go out, nothing with the #s unless it was a physical script that was being passed off to a third party writer.

Well, I hope it isn't true because Mass Shift and this DLC sounds terrible. What's worse is that Mass Shift would end up robbing Mass Effect of whatever closure the DLC would manage to grant and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that the idea of that moronic, illogical, muppet of a VI (The Catalyst) becoming the protagonist of a new series makes me actually feel physically ill. Not only that, but continuing this stupid anti-synthetic idea even further when ME3 itself actually proves Synthetics aren't the threat the Catalyst thinks they are, is just as moronic. Don't even get me started on the idea of moving further away from an RPG and more towards an action shooter. I'm an RPG fan, I don't even play action shooters that much these days as I've started to feel bored with the repetitive nature of them (I dabble now and then, but nowhere near as much as when I was a kid and it all seemed fresh and new), so even if the rest sounded good I still wouldn't bother with that game.

On a positive note, if it's not a fan prank, the leak would likely cause them to make changes anyway. Either way it's likely this won't happen. Plus if they don't satisfy the fans with the DLC's now I can see the franchise ending before any new trilogy starts getting seriously off the ground (If the franchise part gets considered to be a negative thing rather then positive, they would probably just take the ideas and make them in to an unrelated game).

This is without a doubt fake as hell at this point. The whole "update" on this situation just screams fake the Normandy didn't crash on a planet on the edge of the Sol system since we live there and we know the only "planet" on the edge of the Sol system is Pluto (which is right next to the Sol relay)
