There definitely is some interesting stuff in here, though. And as far as Shepard/Star Child/EDI merger into Advent: with as strong willed as all three are, I can see some pretty serious **** going down here. Major internal conflict as all three vie for control, finally forms a cohesive whole. Different characters react in their own way...

Actually sounds better than indoctrination.....guessing that VS is a plot device..ie..contemplating suicide, etc--not actually doing it. It leads into a new ME universe while saying goodbye to the old one. Also the themes seems to be contingent upon the Choices of ME3......

However, this smacks the no post game DLC thing down...so that is whay i don't believe it. Unless no post-game DLC line was a fabrication.

So hang on a tic here. This seems to imply that "Advent", the protagonist of "Mass Shift", is actually a dissociated Commander Shepard that has been transmigrated from one body to another. Am I reading this right?

Assuming this could be true, what does that mean exactly? Will the character of Shepard play out much like Rand al"Thor from The Wheel of Time series? For those not familiar with the story, Rand is a fairly normal guy who discovers that he bears the intertwined consciousness of the most powerful man in the world inside himself.

This would be a total mind****, though it's actually not all that bad. They ended Commander Shepard's story, as they promised, but they still managed to preserve his or her story into the future. I could really get behind this, at least if the main story is intelligently presented. I don't like the feeling of ME3 being a giant cliffhanger, and I'm sure others would agree with me, but this is better than the alternative of allowing ME3 to be an isolated failure.

Still having trouble wrapping my head around playing two protagonists at once. This could be equal parts brilliant and insane.

Yeah... 4chan isn't the most trustworthy place around and I have no reason to buy any of this.  Not to mention, they invalidate and make pointless basically all our decisions and made us all have the same exact ending more or less just to set up the setting for the next title?  Psh...

I can type up a bunch of crap and throw it on 4chan and claim it's legit too, you know.

Considering the fact it comes from 4chan I'd say its fake. 4chan is ultimate lair of trolls. And now is the best time to troll this subject. Interesting nonetheless. I only dont understand the concept of this whole "Advent". What/who would that be? Synthetic? Organic? A new being? A fusion with dissociative identity disorder would mean that different personalities would "in turn" take control of Shepard's body. Besides, this conflicts with the fact that ME was not supposed to have canon storyline (with one exception being Shepard's death at end of ME2). I was thinking that for "ME4" they will leave this time period regardless from ME3 outcome and whether or not Shepard survives it.

Yeah, that's what I thought, too.    Especially when all the other LI have the option of ending well...  Oh well, I'll worry about this when and if it's confirmed by BioWare.

Well I don't know if this is real or not, but personally if I was going to leak something I would do it on 4chan. Completely anonymous and half the people don't believe it. My job would most likely be safe.

Canon storyline, unfortunately, is the only way to set up a coherent plot for a new trilogy. Which, if this proves to be true, is probably coming. Trying to tie a bunch of divergent plot threads into a working whole would be utterly impossible for them without setting a canon storyline. It would suck for people who felt that ME3 should be the "end" of our story with Shepard, but I guess it's unavoidable.

Not saying that this is certainly real, as it most likely isn't. Just mentioning why it would make sense for them to create a single "right" story path.

To be honest, I hope this is fake! I don't want my ME3 to be just a bridge to the next Mass Effect trilogy. The Advent thing just sounds horrible in my opinion.
On the other hand side the marriage and the character development sound legit and quite good.
But if this is real, I doubt that this will come out next month. I could think of an Arrival type DLC to fill the gap between ME3 and Mass Shift. Wait and see.

Not sure I like the whole advent thing, if Shepards dead, it should maybe stay that way, it depends how they go about it.
