what gets me is this.
YOUR ALL THINKING THIS IS REAL WHEN ITS A CLEAR FAKE
why would an BIOWARE EX-EMPLOYEE GOTO 4CHAN and say what his/her job was which would then put in all risk a serious court case (only so many "virtual LIGHTNING technician" work and all they do is look for the one they fired).
if i was that technician i would have plastered it into the MAINSTREAM websites not some TROLLING website.
jesus h christ all of you who beleve this chit are without a shadow of a doubt........THICK AS PIG CHIT.
NEVER BELEVE ANYTHING FROM 4CHAN.
that entire fanfic has so many things wrong its crazy, like for starters
1)- how did the catalyst enter shepards body when hes NOT A CYBORG
2)- how can they fly a reaper when THERES NOT CONTROLS
3)- how the hell can some of the squad be on there HOME PLANETS when theres NO RELAYS
4)- "april 24" is a tuesday only SPECIAL games get this treatment and 9 out of 10 its on xbox only
5)- " a Prothean planet on the edge of Sol" oh i'm sorry but in the ENTIRE ME universe mars was the ONLY planet sol system that had Prothean civilisation.
6)- "Shepard has been found on Earth, but he is badly injured and in a coma. He was
burned badly during atmospheric re-entry, and certain synthetic components of his
brain were shut down. Chakwas is certain that if he ever awakens, it will be in a
vegetative state."
this..........this soooooo how is dr chakwas going to help a body that was cremated in re-entry and able to survive a 1800MPH impact on the ground, not even the replicators from SG1 / SG1:A and SGU can survive re-entry so yeah busted on this part
also brain dead and if he ever recovered he'd be in a vegitative state...eeerrr right brain dead means NO BRAIN FUNCTIONS, vegitative state means SOME brain functions
7)- Though still badly wounded, after the synthetic pieces are installed, Shepard
finally awakens. He makes a speech at the Spacescraper (a piece of the Citadel
that crash landed on Earth along with Shepard, now used as a center of
operations) that ends the Sol War. After that, you get a unique cutscene based
on who you did or did not romance in ME3.
WHAT IN THE F***
ok so a sol war breaks out, your friends go out and find replacement parts in the sol system , which would be another plot hole since it was cerberus tech that rebuilt him so that means no cerberus tech on earth, AND NOW he went from being a total braindead burnt bit of bacon and suddenly they replace parts of him and then all of a suddent he's all singing all dancing walking talking shepard that making a huge speech that stops a sol war inside the "SPACESCRAPER" which is the remains of the citidel which is now the base of sol sysem command.
so let me get this straight, a huge chunk of the citidel impacts out planet leaving MILLIONS DEAD and the first theng they do is rebuild it into a base of operations which on itself would take YEARS.
you know what i could write a freaking HUGE post about this but for god sake this has even more plot holes than burst bubble wrap.
its an obvious fake and in no way credible in any way, shape or form
also MASS SHIFT, hell no thats just someone who played with NEED FOR SPEED: SHIFT and MASS EFFECT so they just used TWO names of TWO EA games and made up that garbage.
1) Shepard is most certainly a cyborg. The Catalyst says this to him or her while explaining the Destroy path. The Lazarus Project used synthetic-organic fusion to bring Shepard back to life.
2) This is never mentioned in the current trilogy. Also, the term "fly" is sufficiently ambiguous as to allow an alternative method of controlling "Murmur". If the Advent is essentially a Reaper hybrid, a mental link much like the Reaper hivemind is possible.
3) FTL. It's not exactly practical, nor is it ideal, but it works. The amount of time taken to get to the further ends of the galaxy would be immense, so I doubt that many of the survivors would make it back. Unless they plan to modify how FTL works, or have Tali's research into "bringing back Mass Technology" uncover something.
4) Pretty sure Tuesday is the "official" release day for all big name games now. Not sure why, but I do remember that Mass Effect 3 was released on Tuesday as well.
5) This sounds highly sketchy, but I SUPPOSE it could be explained. It would make swallowing the totally OOC Joker and Normandy situation with the current endings slightly more palatable. If Gilligan's Planet is indeed on the edges of Sol, that would mean that Joker was attempting to outrun the Citadel blast using FTL, rather than a relay jump. Since relay jumps are instant, this would actually make his failing to escape more logical. Again, though, it sounds sketchy.
6) Similar thing happened in ME2. Shepard has survived an utterly impossible death before, and come out with little more than some scars and a few "upgrades". Not saying that this kind of scenario would be any better than it was the first time, but how else would you propose they bring him from the Citadel to Earth? Since it seems apparent that the Indoctrination Hypothesis is not being used, that would leave only teleportation or atmospheric re-entry left over.
7) The parts that Cerberus used were synthetic, not necessarily irreplacable. Furthermore, this "leak" mentions that EDI 's body is used in part of the reconstruction, which would imply Cerberus created Reaper tech being fused to Shepard. If parts from the destroyed/disabled Reapers on Earth could be salvaged, or some other 'super special synethic' components could be found, they might work just as well.
As to the "Spacescraper", it
does sound very bizarre that people would choose to congregate around a symbol of such destruction. I suppose it could be explained that people felt an underlying connection to the Citadel still, in spite of its part in the invasion, simply because it had served as the hub of civilization for so long. In such a case, the meaning is more symbolic than functional. I would be interested to know if the original council would still be alive in this supposed scenario.
The name "Mass Shift", like "Terminator", is probably a placeholder rather than an absolute. I would suspect that the names are derived from the impact and tone of the respective content (rebuilding Shepard into a machine/organic hybrid, and fundamentally changing the entire landscape of Mass Effect as we know it). I doubt that these names would make it into the finished product,
if such products are actually being planned and developed.
I have no more credible information than the next guy, but I like to point out the ridiculousness of simply dismissing this "leak" without knowing anything to prove it as fake. As of now, it's neither confirmed nor denied. For the moment, this info is "Innocent until proven guilty", relatively speaking.
