I think it implies that the Reaper is your ally in whatever they have coming up. That would be badass. He could teach us so much, and be a complete bro of a companion.

If it's real, it represents what is wrong with the end of ME3. Instead of giving us an option to have closure and complete our story, they used it to set up the universe for more games in the franchise with different characters. Lame. And exactly what they said they wouldn't do.

Do you guys honestly think a personality with the drive and will like Shepard would just roll over and let the Catalyst pull the "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL" act? The potential here for some pretty hardcore moral dillemas like "what is the soul" is badass.

If this indeed a real leak, I think we'd end up with something along the lines of Shepard 2.0 What little of Shepard's pure organic body is left is pretty much toast but still usable to an extent. His/her will remains, however. Cataylst provides the "life force" for the new bodily construct, but its goals have been subverted by Shepard's refusal to give up the fight. EDI probably sacrifices herself or is forced by "Reaper Shepard" to surrender her Eva shell to help provide the last components needed to get Advent fully up and running.

There's a difference between a "dump" and a "downer". One of them is a bad story, the other is a story that you can;t handle.
