I have been encountering an issue with connecting to anyone in multiplayer.  When I attempt to use quick match it will ether sit on the searching for games screen indefinitely or sometimes after awhile it will say connection to host lost without ever changing screens.
When I try and create my own match public or private no one else is able to join, and if I try and join my friends game I get stuck on the joining game screen.

My PC is a Windows Vista (32-bit)
I bought a Digital Download Copy off of Origin as well as the From Ashes dlc.
UPnP is enabled on my router
I've enabled port forwarding of ports 3659 and 6000
I've tried bypassing my router no change
I've tried turning off my firewall no change
I've tried repairing my instillation no change
I am completely out of ideas at this point and would greatly appreciate any help offered.

So far I have found the only solution that works for me is to fully reboot my PC when I can no longer search for games.

I am not sure why this works but it does for me.  I hope that helps.
Excuse me, I'm off to reboot my PC now.

Thanks for the suggestion sadly I have to add it to the list of things that did not fix my issue.

Yeah i experience a similar issue, i only really play the Multiplayer with a group of friends and the past 5-6 days i have experience nothing but random disconnect from the Multiplayer servers, followed by being immediately reconnected, i've tried rebooting my router, i've tried this, i've tried that and now i'm trying a fresh install again. So Hopefully something works because if this doesn't i'm pretty sure the MP is unplayable for me until Bioware Fixes their half assed mostly broken Multiplayer servers.

Edit: i have tried repair install Origin Downloaded somethign but whatever it downloaded didnt help i actually think it made the issue more prevelant

had a similar problem the day before yesterday, restarted Origin and everything was fine. It only occurred to me to do this after I'd done the fresh install as well. Also sounds like you may have already tried this with the reboot of the computer, though.

Same problem here so it isn't unique at all. I had no issues with the demo and now i have to fight with the game to play a single match. Sometimes reseting router 3 times in a row helps but not always.

I had that problem, just not as prevalent as reported here.

Starting Origin first and then ME3 is what helped me. Previously I would launch ME3 directly, which would start Origin in the sort-of background. Basically, it was an Origin issue for me.

I too get it, my personal solution is to wait 20 seconds, hit cancel then try again. Usually get into a game fairly fast. I have also heard people talking in the lobby whilst stuck on the "looking for games" dialogue which is probably indicative of some kind of server whoopse.

This.

Also, check to see if the Communicating swirlie in the top left corner is active when you're searching. If not, restart ME3, then try this.

Thanks for the new suggestions but I'm still having no luck getting past the searching for games screen. ME3 Multiplayer seems to really hate me.

I found a solution. In my case getting rid of DLC_OnlinePassHidCE folder in \\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\DLC helped. It has something to do with the Collector's Edition and with other dlc. I know its a **** solution but now i can play without 10min preparations.

I've had the same problem for the past week now. Been totally unable to play any MP. I don't know why it's doing this as I have not tampered with my internet or PC.

It just gets stuck on 'Searching for Games' seemingly forever. Naturally my Origin is often restarted because I only open it to play ME3 then close it after so that hasn't worked.

I'm still amazed this problem has had minimal attention especially since it has completely stopped me from playing any MP for a week and counting.

I get this. The connection issues have forced me out of multiplayer sadly.

Good this makes me glad I'm not the only one. Nothing I do seems to have any effect...

Same issue, I click on the search button. Tells me its searching for online games, and freezes. happens when trying to host a game as well. The communicating spindle stops as well and the only way to end is is to Ctr Alt Delete out and Task Manager tells me that Mass Effect 3 is not responding. This issue is making me very angry... And you wouldnt like me when I'm angry...      >.<

Sadly the searching for games problem just doesn't seem to be common enough for anyone who might know the answer to reply too. Hell its been nearly a month since I first tried to play multiplayer and i've come no closer to getting into a game then when I started. The fact that this problem hasn't been patched yet leaves me with little hope. :(

Wow and I thought I had it the worst with my week of not being able to access MP. A month? Lol...

It'll get patched but not particularly soon. Hopefully this thread will stay bumped so this problem gets some attention.

Same problem here after installing the DLC. Can't join quick game, can't join friends' game, can't host a game. Before the DLC I had hardly any problems, and always found a game within seconds. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

I'm still having the problem. Some times it works, other times it doesn't. Not sure what causes it either, But Bioware should look into this and help. If you cant play the multiplayer you cant get the better outcomes of the end.
