So with that said, whether you liked the endings or not, do you believe that bioware should at least add in more variations to the endings, maybe add in a "golden ending" where you have the absolute best outcome with mostly everyone surviving, but they make it harder for players to achieve?
I know they did that with synthesis but let's be honest, it really isn't much different from the other two endings don't you think?

I don't know if anyone asked you this, but what did you think of the ending? Were you satisfied with it? What's your take on the three choices and the Normandy fleeing?

Hi Geoff,
Welcome back !!!
hope to hear more from you soon
ps: did any portion of profit from your apps go to EA/Bioware ?? The apps intrigue me but I already swore an oath, no more EA and or Bioware until ME3 is fixed, so....

Quick question, did you have access to (or see) any more deleted scenes from ME3? I liked the ones shown in the app (there were four for those who don't know). Can you say anything about them if you did?
Anyway good job on the Mass Effect version of the "Final Hours"! I'm looking forward to the update(s).

I'd still like my questions answered, I don't really think they're unfair or too difficult, really I'd just like your opinion is all.

The way I see it, “Entitlement” is a dangerous, dismissive word. As was very well put by a Forbes article much earlier, entitlement implies that you believe that you have a right to something to which you have no right. The term is thrown at young people these days whenever they voice a complaint about, well -- anything. It accomplishes nothing but to build up walls, and to damage relationships.
Seeing you defend the endings, honestly irks me. You simply can't compare this type of media to movies and books. A book and a movie, you have to sit back and watch or read through. You have no control over it. Where as, with a game like this, all of your choices are supposed to mean something.
If Bioware had made completely original, and unique endings that weren't, pick your favourite colour, I don't think people would have complained. Instead, the closing of a fantastic series is basically a complete cut and paste epilogue.
I think more companies should learn from people like Atlus, who developed the awesome and short lived Ogre Battle series. Which mind you, if you ever speak to them, please tell them to get back on that.
Would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this, thanks.

Thank you so much for answering my previous question(s)~ I have another that I hope you can answer:
Do you think this 'change the ending' situation will have a big impact on the future of gaming industry? Ending adjustments has been done before, but this is different because a lot of the fans felt it did not live up to the promises that were given. Do you think it's a dangerous thing for the fans to have this much power over how a story ends? Or perhaps the developers/publishers might be wary of how they present their products to us?
Thanks!

The thing about the endings is that they mirror themes brought forward beforehand in the rest of the series. Think about the 3 choices. Destruction, Control, and Unity. Many of the big choices in the games revolve arround these themes.
At the end of ME1 you could choose to focus on sovereign (destroy) abandon the council (control) or save them (unity). in ME2 you choose if the collector base is saved (control) or not (destroy). unity was the oiverall theme of the suicide mission itself. The end of Legion's Loyalty mission is a direct reflection of the choice at the end of ME3. Destroy the geth for what they might become, or Control them with the virus to gain support.
There are many situations like this and I dont think its fair to just disregard the rest of the series to that end. Playing through all 3 games in a row gives a unique impression of the way that series wraps up.

Saku39 - Are you serious? Create "real life consequences" for whoever wrote the ending? You may not like how the game ended, but like any form of creative expression we have to respect the artists behind the game....and all the amazing work they did on the series overall.
Oh, yes, I'm absolutely serious. In most industries, a mistake of these proportions would result in someone being fired. Who is going to be fired, Geoff? Who is responsible for the ending we recieved, which polls around 4 percent positive among BioWare's customers? Was it Mac Walters? Was it Hudson? Was it both? What is the full name of the person who ultimately approved the end sequence dialogue? Why has that person not been fired?
No, I DON'T have to respect the artists behind the game. Is that rule written down somewhere? Perhaps you should speak to my attorney. The artists in question (whomever is personally responsible for the worst recieved ending to a video game property in history) are not deserving of respect, they are deserving of scorn and anger and ridicule. I bought a product with advertised features and benefits, and they were just a pack of LIES, Geoff. This was an ABORTION, and its nothing but deflection and PR bullcrap from BioWare since. They KNEW this ending sucked, and they LIED to us about it. Thats one of the main reasons people are upset. We are sick of being talked to as if BioWare's products are both unassailable art and crass profit making enterprises simultaneously. If it's art, why did they lie about it?
THEY answer to US, Geoff. Their art answers to our whims and desires as paying customers, not Mac Walter's personal sense of accomplishment. (rasberry) WE are in charge of the gaming industry. BioWare's future sales will reflect this, and then you will see heads roll.
Why wait?

Geoff, I appreciate the fact that you're taking the time to answer all of the questions on this thread. I plan on checking out your app very soon, as I care a great deal about the Mass Effect team at BioWare. They crafted my favorite game series of all time.

Will you update the app when we get the dlc? It'd be interesting to hear inside thoughts from the devs on the fan backlash and how the game develops through DLC. Whether there were plans internally on upgrading the ending from beforehand or if these are developments that occurred only now.
Also as a personal thought: I'm curious what choices Geoff made throughout the game and in the ending.

And because of this i won't buy story-dlc anymore, but maybe a new singleplayer or multiplayer map. I you, sir, or Bioware thinks in fix the end and give it to us as recompensation, okay, but please, don't disrespect me with the indoctrination theorie. I prefere to buy a good multiplayer map, because a shooter you can play even without story. And i prefere no story, than a bad story.
(Sorry, i'm not a native english speaker.)
