So i've been noticing that sometimes ill log into a game with a buddy of mine and my friend will be talking to another
player who has his mic turned on, yet it shows that it is off on my screen so I am unable to hear them speak. Essentially my friend has to turn into a relay to tell me what the other player(s) is saying. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to resolve it?
Mic problems with certain players.

I don't care how old this is, i have the same problem. Group of friends decide to play gold....then one of us can't hear the other. To try fixing it we usually leave/reinvite/try diff host/restart ps3/try reconnect to the servers by quitting the game and reloading it. If we aren't doing gold we will let it go because its a pain to fix, however then the other _____ amount of people that can hear everybody has to try listening to two or more people talk at once seeing how they can't hear each other.

yea, I had this problem aswell, it's probably an connetion issue/ lag issue because I can never hear this certain person and can never connect to him with him being host.

I have the same issue. I can't hear my friend's brother mic, and he can't hear from me. My friend can hear us both. Any solutions?
Same thing about the hosting, I can host games with my friend but not with his brother.

I've had this happen with other ps3 games, but haven't really got into a match where I used my mic yet since I mostly play with randoms.

I am reviving this thread because I'm struggling with this issue more and more often these days. And it's really starting to tick me off.
People who could hear each other fine a few months ago, suddenly can't hear each other. We all have good connections, so the only thing I can think of is that it may be a distance issue? We're all form different parts of the world. Although, one guy from the US is fine, the other isn't. So I don't know.
We spent almost an hour last night resetting Origin and/or ME, swapping hosts, etc. We were really looking forward to playing a Gold, maybe a Platinum as that particular group. Eventually we gave up. There has to be a definable reason for this, and therefor a solution? I can't believe it's a problem on our side. Anybody come up with anything in the months since this thread was 1st posted?

What I noticed was ppl on my friends list who had DSL were more likely to not hear other DSL connections and ppl with cable could hear everyone fine. Idk if this is the case but it's what I noticed. Also ppl with DSL were more likely to get kicked in matches. I don't kno of the game servers had problems connecting DSL services from time to time or if it's just a fluke.

Been having same problem and it's quite annoying. Dunno how to fix it either. I play on the PS3 and get the occasional person who I can't hear at all ( but can hear them in an echo so I know they have a mic). Above post might be right, cause I do use DSL and it main happens to me .

Hello,
I'm a french player and i play on PS3. I have the same problem with a friend of my team. I can't hear or speak with him but we can speak to the others players and they hear us each other !
Moreover, when he or I are leader, the other can not join because of a version mismatch. Have you this bug ? Is it a patch problem ? How verify ?
My message on the french technical support:

thank's for your help
ps: we can speak on the tchat of the PS3 so the problem is the game
