On Sur'Kesh EDI notes that Cerberus arrived too quickly not to have been tipped off.  It seemed like clear foreshadowing of a need to "find the mole" on the Normandy.  I think she or other squadmates make similar remarks on other missions as well.

They also show up at almostly every mission you go to -- either right as you do, or right before/after you do.

So was this an unrealized plotline?  Or, did I miss some part of the game?

I assumed the Salarian Dalatrass did it for the purpose of stopping the Krogans.

I could've sworn I heard it elsewhere too. You think the Dalatrass would really call Cerberus to come to and STG base on Sur'Kesh? Seems extreme. *Shrug*

I'd figure it was Udina. Who knows.

Yet another thing we never got an explanation on. No worries, though.

Speculation from everyone!

Yeah, I figured it was probably just a random Salarian that no one knows. I don't think that is something that really needs to be explained.

Edit: Oops, yeah the game practically spells it for us that it's Udina.
I thought it was Miranda, so I didn't trust her with alliance intel...  she wasn't prepared against cereberus. :(

Oh, I guess Udina makes sense. It's never really confirmed, but it seems logical enough that he would know what the Normandy was up to -- at least regarding the political missions, Pavalen/Sur'Kesh/Tuchanka

Hey its not like we need resolution to any of these plots, far better to introduce a star god brat 5 minutes before the end of the game.

I originally thought it was the Dalatrass because she was very much against helping the Krogan, but I see no reason for why she would want Cerberus on her planet.

It's most likely Udina anyways.

Cerberus gets the jump on you everywhere, so I just assumed the "mole" was a hand wave to explain how they are everywhere at once.

Obviously it was the Yahg warming up to become the next shadow broker.

Although the idea it was the dalatrass is interesting.

This one, I'm not going to call out as a plot hole.

I think the entire point is to get you to try and figure if it was the Dalatross or Udina.

Now Udina is revealed as the traitor, however that kind of bait and switch is what the Salarians eat for Breakfast.  Frankly it is just as believeable that the Salarians tipped off cerberus and Udina launched his plot as two completely seperate unrelated things.

It was obviously the Varren who mauled that Cerberus agent.

Cerverus betrayed him and he attacked in retaliation for not freeing his fellow Varren.

Still doesnt explain Thessia though.  When you attack the Cerberus base you can watch a video of TIM telling Kai Leng to go to Thessia and await Shep.

I mean, heck, it's not such a terrible plothole all things considered --  but I wondered if I missed something.

I think we are meant to take that a Salarian, possibly an indoctrinated one, is the mole.
Not someone on the Normandy
