It's obviously affected a few people, so why is there no update from the devs? Do they even read this forum?

I find that I often just have to go and restart it to get my DLC to work. For examples, I just exited the game. When I go to the services list and just look at the services list the DA:O Content Updater says its started and Automatic. But if I click on it its actually stopped and needs to be started again.

This may or may not be related, but just yesterday I saw that the My Games link to the left changed - it used to show Dragon Age for all gaming platforms and a section for patches, but now when I go to it, it only shows the link to register the game. I entered my serial number for my version (PC) and now it's "registered" again. Maybe the DLCs not working are a result of needing to register your game again.
It was happening before, this is a result of new page built (released 30th Nov), now it only shows games you have reggistred.

That is completely unrelated - registering cdkeys on this site has no impact on the game.

Thanks, but already had to do that in order to get the DLC in the first place. I have since gone back to services.msc to check its still set to automatic, and it still is. Im currentlt in the queue to talk to an EA support person...
Word of note - Automatic NEVER seems to work with this machine - I had to set it to be on, period - and when it won't load it for some bizarre reason, I have had to reboot to get it to go.

Make a backup of it, then open the original file with notepad and search for RequiresAuthorization="1", change all "1" to "0". I have no idea if this will work for you, but it seems for me it stopped showing message about unauthorized Shale, which I had to fix each freaking time by logging off and on again.
