I just recently finished my first ME1 playthrough (almost exclusively paragon), and am jumping back in for a full renegade playthough.

But this time I'd like to romance Ashley.  Obviously I can't always go for the renegade choice in conversations with her, but is there a guide out there for the minimum number of paragon choices I have to make and still be able to hook up with her?

I've already looked in the usual places I used for info for my paragon playthough, but so far no luck.

I'm not 100% sure on that one...I very rarely play Renegade because I can't stomach being such a douche XD My advice is usually when Romancing just to be on the save side, pick the good options to get in her good books. Agree with her when you think it matters while not compromising yourself and such.

First things first, you can't bash and blame her upon meeting her, as that is the renegade choice, I had a romance going with her an play hard core renegade, nothin wrong with it, you're dealing mostly with idiots living in denial and refusing to face facts. If you have chose renegade actions upon meeting and notice you are shut down on questions on board, you gotta start over now.

Too late, already gave her crap for abandoning her unit and wasn't interested in having her join my squad on Eden Prime.

If you have chose renegade actions upon meeting and notice you are shut down on questions on board, you gotta start over now.

She was pissed when I came out of the sickbay, but I redeemed myself by apologizing and saying "You helped" (Paragon).  She responded with something like, "It's nice when someone makes you feel welcome."  So I think I'm still ok?

I read on masseffect.wikia that hooking up with the Asari consort prevents you from getting the Paramour achievement, but does it only prevent you from earning the achievement or does it prevent you from hooking with Ashley altogether?

I did the deed on the citadel with the consort and got Paramour with Liara, my game with Ash got saved over by accident, consort gives you a trinket for later in the game, never pass her up.

Looks like I'm still in the good books with Ashley, despite being mean to her on the surface of Eden Prime and hooking up with the Consort.  It seems like you can choose most of the renegade options when talking to Ashley, as long as they don't kill the conversation and you choose the final paragon or neutral option at the end of the conversation.
