[Drumhead]

Just came across this and it took me a few repeats before i realized it.

I finished a multiplayer game, leveled a few times, am now lvl 10 HF Adept
spent 11 points (worked later with all 12)
went to store and attepted to purchase the premium veteran pack on special. the connection timed out and reset credits as expected.
I clicked back, then powers, and I had 12 more power points again, as well as the ones I had just confirmed.
(also i clicked back once before the credits reset if it makes a difference)

this was repeatable every time i tried it.

I will mention also that i was not in a game setup at this time, went from the multiplayer menu | character | powers | confirm | store. 

I will keep looking for the proper place to report this bug but at least this way it is out there. 
something to be aware of (hope someone at bioware reads forums).

(Update) this issue was resolved after i restarted the game, but i lost my credits (someone else has reported this already)

Yeah I saw this before too, but you can't connect to a game anyway when in this state and the problem fixes itself after you restart the game, confirmed.
