IDEAS TO IMPROVE DRAGON AGE 3 (give your ideas also)

-as arround 95% (or so) of players are straight males, more female romantic options
-one thing in which DAO was better than DA2 is that flirting with someone didn`t blocked dialogs with other characters
-maybe a romantic confrontation scene like in ME1
-better interaction with companions during missions
-dont having "persuade" options thus they are obviously the one that will
benefict you the most, which ends up taking away the choice from you and
the "act as myself in the game" feeling
-the chance of jumping or moving more freely making fights more dynamic and tactic, that highly improves any game
-watch out for bugs... im looking at you DA2

1. A more engaging main plot. DA2 had its moments, but for the most of the game, I did not feel the same kind of urgency as I did in DA:O.
2. Make playing a mage mean more in the game. In DA2 I played a pro-templar mage Hawke who romanced Fenris (you might ask why - well, no one did in game, except for Anders, and even he did not let me explain ;D)
3. I would like to see a complete overhaul in the character design department. I very much preferred the faces in DA:O, and not only was it impossible to create a decent-looking (female) Hawke in the DA2 CC (thanks to so many predetermined features), but most of the NPCs looked more or less ugly, too, in my opinion. The men generally looked better than the women, though. (An don't get me started on the hair... granted, there was one hairstyle that was great - but even that could not be used on custom Hawkes without a mod.)
4. The running animation for females in DA2 was horrible. I'd like something a little less "prancing-around-in-the-meadow-in-my-pretty-dress" and more suitable for warriors in full armor. Sorry guys.
3. Better love interests (*cough* Cullen *cough*). Neither of the two male LIs in DA2 were particularly good-looking, charismatic or interesting, IMHO. Out of the two, I preferred Fenris' personality, but I did not like his voice (sorry), and I always felt funny about him being so small. (To be honest, I would have chosen Varric (!) over those two if he was available ;D)
4. Bring back the Party Selection Screen from DA:O! The dark hall they were standing in looked so cool, and when you picked a party member, they reacted. In DA2, the screen looks cheap somehow. I was actually quite disappointed with it.

Plot of DA2 is very well made, as well as dialogues. However it's ruined by over repeating zones, retarded combat system, somewhere ugly combat animations and boring side quests. Plot of DA2 is unique for bioware games i think.
While I disagree with you on DA2 plot and dialogue, I believe you are right about the mechanics.

As for DA2 there is no such thing, you observe live of a Hawke, all this mess. Game have it's surprises. It's a shame that overall quality of this product is below average.
ah yes one more thing
- i want decent bloody, gore kills for DA3 as it was in DA:O. With heads flying and fountains of blood. thank you.
( because in DA2 models that just simply fall apart in pieces is just not... good enough.)

I find having to click on every copse annoying. I would prefer if they automatically gave me all the loot after combat is finished, like in mass effect 1

Cinematics in DA2 ME 2 and 3 were pixelated as hell, if you are going to pre-render stuff, do it for a 10000" inches screen or don`t do it at all

Dialogue
I'm actually fond of a voiced protagonist, it made Hawke feel alive and more personal (IMO). I also enjoyed that I could shape her personality (fairly certain I've never veered away from the sarcastic one however...). Though having said that I absolutely hated how conversations were handled in DA2. In Origins I could wander around camp and have incredibly deep conversations with my companions and I never felt locked out of a certain bit of dialogue because I could always go right back to speaking with them whenever I pleased, anywhere, anytime.
I also enjoyed that during quests a character could chip in and I'd be allowed to choose my Wardens response to them, in DA2 all I get is some auto-dialogue from Hawke, or the NPC most of the time just completely ignores them anyway. It never felt natural for me, like they were just speaking to themselves.
And though I enjoy a voiced protagonist I'd be willing to sacrifice it for richer DAO style conversations. I do not want their conversations turned into quests in my journal. It's wrong.
Companions/Quests
I'm not certain what I should really put this suggestion under but it should work here I suppose. Fun. Does anyone remember Fort Drakon? Who got Zevran and Oghren to rescue them? I was in stitches the entire time. My companions were fun, sure they had their problems, but it wasn't an insipid whine fest. Yes the banter can be amusing in DA2 but I never got the same enjoyment that I did in DAO. I'm not sure if I'm putting this right but I'll just use Fort Drakon as an example and point at that making inarticulate frustrated noises.
And another thing about companions; I actually got to make my choices about who I wanted with me or not. In DA2 (save for a very few situations) they feel forced on you, I could pass right by Sten and never realize he was meant to be a companion. Bioware left that up to the player decide, you could kill Zevran and never take on the efficient assassin hired to kill you (it would seem like the sane thing to do, and I almost did).
Things like this; it also made them feel more like people than just boring pillocks with nothing better to do than wander around a city with a bigger pillock. DAO's companions had a reason to be with you; all of them, and they could be made to leave, or very well choose to. I didn't for a second buy that Fenris, the mage-hating elf that he is, would honestly want to follow around my Hawke-mage and her 2 mage friends.
Romances
Ok, why can't I kiss Anders when traipsing around the Wounded Coast? Why can't Fenris make gagging noises in the back ground? Actually; why can't I kiss Anders whenever I damn well want to?
TL;DR more companion interaction/dialogue/conversation please. Environments and combat has been covered well enough and I think it's time I stop typing

you know in "dissent" quest if Anders is a rival, Hawke says that "you are here under my command", so i guess it's not a bad idea.Nadia wrote... Maybe protagonist could shout some comands to his/her followers?

- Dragon Age III should focus more on the blight (darkspawn) that happens again cause the darkspawn found another old god and make it a archdemon sooner than expected, or it happens for some reason that you will find out later progressing in the game and the conflict between mages and templars. And put it together
- Would love to make a new character in Dragon Age III that give you more character creation designs and have each character from different background will have their own stories sort of back in Dragon Age: Origins but much longer or be in the entire game. Like Grey Warden recruit or veteran, City Noble, Dalish Elf.
- Have more companions
- Bring mounts like horses or possibly dragons (rare: by finding a egg in the game) that will be loyal or hostile by your decisions.
- Interacting with your companions more like in Dragon Age: Origins than in Dragon Age II
- Have a combat system like in Skyrim like you know when its the right to block with your shield then strike with your melee weapon.
- Command an army through a ranking system (ex: Warden Commander, Colonel, Sergeant, Captain) that you earned in some quests for some factions for a certain military officer or leader, and gather all fatchions when the blight happens and gather forces and supply them like in Dragon Age: Origins
- Keep the friend and rivalry system

Mounts require open world system, and i doubt there is any need of it. As for ponies, i don't know do they have a wings? If they do then yes you can, well at least you can eat that pony after the battle, properly roasted.
As for idea for next darkspawns horde, well we never fought geth invasion twice. Besides in DA setting there is a lot more funny things could happen, such as qunari invasion or return of Morrigan with teenage Old God.

To improve that combat, I would probably take more of a tactical, direct approach to combat. In Dark Souls, you had to properly place your attacks or enemies would demolish you. Imagine that kind of rough combat but party based! I think DA2 had the right idea of making each class play as they are. To go further, I'd have weapon and shield tanks able to parry, leaving the enemy option to be flanked by another party member. Two handed warriors would have slow, heavy attacks that would do a lot more damage with each strike (instead of whittling away down health like other weak weapons). Rogues would be further required to play like rogues and not merely lighter armored warriors. Dual wielding rogues would rely on critical attacks and openings in order to inflict high amounts of damage while archery rogues would function more like snipers, possibly able to position their arrows. Instead of using talents, you can choose where the arrow lands, going into the foot automatically pins down the enemy while an arrow to the head could one-shot an enemy. Mages, well mages were overpowered in Origins while they were okay in DA2. I'd probably lessen the amount of spells but make them more specialized and count. And definitely would keep out that horrible default attack in Origins, instead it would be more like firing energy attacks but less dramatic than DA2, and hitting with the staff up close in melee.
Player Characters- I'm tired of playing Fereldans (and England/British based characters), at least as a default. I want there to be the option to set your player character's home nation, such as Orlais, Rivain, Antiva, Nevarra, etc. There's a high chance the game's going to be set in Orlais, so yes I'd like to be able to play as an Orlesian or a myriad of nationalities instead of just being a Fereldan here, there and everywhere. This would also open up a LOT of opportunities for origin style stories, or at least establish a pretty good backstory for your character.
Weisshaupt- Grey Warden (human, elf or dwarf, any class)
Antiva- Crow/Assassin (human or elven rogue)
Orlais- Orlesian Bard (human or elven rogue), Chevalier (human warrior)
Tevinter- Tevinter Mage (human or elven mage)
Orzammar- Legion of the Dead/Dwarven Exile (dwarven warrior or rogue)
Rivain- Rivaini PIrate (human warrior or rogue)
Ferelden (yawn)- Avvar (human warrior or rogue), Fereldan Refugee (human warrior, rogue or mage)
Kirkwall- Guardsman (human warrior), Apostate Mage (human or elven mage)
Dalish Remnant- (Elven warrior, rogue or mage)
Carta Dwarf- (Dwarven warrior or rogue)
Par Vollen (if you, hopefully, get to play as qunari)- (Qunari warrior or rogue), Viddithari (human, elven, or dwarven warrior or rogue)
Also, I'd like to see the return of racial selection with added advantages and disadvantages. We already know dwarves cannot become mages and that they are built to be tanks, but perhaps they could also be slower? Elves, with those skinny Avatar bodies, should have less constitution but higher speed and agility. Humans are your generic jack of all trades races, though perhaps an Elf-Blooded Human could have a bonus in magic? And I'd like to get to play a qunari
New Weapon and Skill Trees-
Warriors- For weapon styles I'd like to see the use of polearms or possibly an unarmed skill tree (gauntlets?). Or the return of dual wielding warriors. For skill trees, perhaps one oriented for dexterity based/agile warriors.
Rogues- Duelist (one hand weapon) or Unarmed. It would be different from Warriors since Rogues look for openings and weaknesses whereas Warriors just focus on damage. I'd like to see a trap based skill tree for Rogues.
Mages- Summoner skill tree or Wind based element. Perhaps a separate skill tree for exclusive staves (caster-based mages) and sword-staffs (arcane warrior types).
Companions-
The lead human male (because every game's gotta have one!)- Please for the love of the Maker no whinebots. No Anders, no Alistairs, basically no men-children with serious emotional issues. Personally I'd like to see two leading human males as opposed to one. Since Origins had Leliana and Morrigan as the 'Betty and Veronica' arch, Dragon Age 2 had Aveline and Isabela, for DA3, I'd like to see two human men being the 'Betty and Veronica'.
Weapon & Shield Tank- (Human male Warrior a.k.a the 'good male')- An Orlesian Chevalier or a holy roller templar from the Anderfels. Both Alistair and Anders were blonde, so for this guy I'd like to see either a redhead or a brunet, preferably blue or green eyes (since Alistair/Anders had brown/hazel eyes). This guy will probably be the weapon and shield tank and specced as an anti-mage killer. Definitely a dude with a killer accent and would be nice to have a Frenchman or German instead of a leading English type. Romanceable by female characters on Friendship or Rivalry path.
Two Hand Warrior- (Human male Warrior a.k.a the 'bad male')- An Avvar Barbarian or a Tevinter Reaver. For this guy I'd like to see a dark-haired human male (since we've yet to have one other than Nathaniel), preferably with hazel or brown eyes to offset the 'good guy's' appearance. He will be essentially the 'Bishop' (for those who liked NWN2) of the party; generally sociopathic, survivial of the fittest, real quick temper, and of course a nice rivalry with the good guy tank. Romanceable by female characters on Friendship or Rivalry path.
Dual Wield Rogue- (Elven male Bard)- It's hard not to want Zevran here, but I can see this guy as an Orlesian Bard. Considering elves are often used as minor nobles and servants in Orlais, this would work really well, especially if the tank is from the Anderfels and since DA3 is likely going to BE in Orlais. He needs a killer French accent unless he's a Rivaini. If he's Orlesian, I could see him as a blonde, possibly ginger with freckles and large green eyes. If he's Rivaini, definitely tanned/brown skin with brown eyes and brown or black hair. He's not amoral but he does look out for himself first and tends to mistrust humans and dwarves. Romanceable by male or female characters on Friendship path.
Archery Rogue- (Dwarven Female)- DA has a sad, sad lack of Dwarven ladies, and that needs to be rectified. I could see this lady as being a Grey Warden or former Casteless (a former Casteless Grey Warden?) or possibly even a Surface dwarf. She tends to have a major selfish streak but ultimately has a good heart. Rough around the edges, and since every BioWare game needs a lady with a million emotional layers, she could be that 'bad girl'. She would probably have brown or black hair with green or hazel eyes. And for the first time, she would be a dwarven romance option! Romanceable by male or female characters on Rivalry path (unique in that regard since as a Friend she'll view your character as a buddy in arms, but in Rivalry she'll definitely fall for you, she likes difficult men and women).
Offensive Mage- (Human female)- The leading lady could definitely be a pro-mage sorceress. Unlike Morrigan, she's not evil or selfish. Unlike Anders, she doesn't whine about it constantly and wouldn't resort to rather evil tactics just because someone's a templar or Chantry. Unlike Merrill, she wouldn't bother with blood magic. Basically a likeable mage. We already had our redheads and our dark haired temptresses, so hopefully she will be a lovely golden haired, blue or violet eyed woman. Or even a foreign woman with African or Asian features (a new African/Asian based nation would be a major plus!). She's definitely on the good side of things but doesn't get along with the Tank because he tends to see things in black and white and doesn't like the Reaver for his amoral ways. Romanceable by male characters on Friendship path.
Healer Mage- (Elven female)- Both Origins and DA2 had the main male party consist of non-humans and the main female party consist OF humans, so like Awakening, it's time to turn it around a bit. I can see her being either a Dalish mage or possibly even a Tevinter mage. Despite being a healer, she's also really tricky and underhanded. She's also pro mage but not averse to killing Templars or cheating someone out to get to the larger goal. And to make her more interesting, she's not really pro-elven despite her second class status. She's out to one-up anyone. For offense she'd focus on debilitating and ice/lightning magic but would be the main healer. Looks wise anything goes, but I'd like to see silver hair since most DA female party members are redheads or dark haired. Oh, and romanceable by male characters on the Friendship (pro-mage, selfish) or Rivalry (bad girl gone good) path.
Day 1 DLC Party Member ('cause you know its gonna happen)- Female Tal-Vashoth Kossith Warrior. Probably a polearm user or two handed warrior. We need female kossith, and what better way than to introduce a lady that goes completely against the odds of her race. Her DLC would definitely include going to Par Vollen and stirring up trouble and, depending how you handled the Arishok in DA2, it can lead to some pretty interesting consequences. Sadly would not be romanceable because she still is attached to the Qun in some ways, just believes it needs reform for obvious reasons.
Returning Party Members-
Varric- He's the star of Dragon Age 2, it makes sense for him to play a role.
Morrigan/Flemeth- Depending on who you side with could lead to who becomes a party member
Leliana- She's going to be the Liara of Dragon Age so you may as well get used to it and have her come along. At least she's not a stalker though.
Zevran (if you spared him in DA: Origins)- Just for an even gender balance, I'd like to have my favorite Antivan assassin come along on the adventure. He's still got it in him.
I'd give a list of potential party members from DA2 but I don't want to include spoilers so yeah.

This way you can enjoy the story of the game and play as the character created leaving the NPC's on thier own. They could have personal goals and leave the party or turn on you mid game.
More options for companions and how they join you. Perhaps you rescue a maiden and then she offers to join your quest.
