Plot of DA2 is very well made, as well as dialogues. However it's ruined by over repeating zones, retarded combat system, somewhere ugly combat animations and boring side quests. Plot of DA2 is unique for bioware games i think.

DA2 had as much plot as The Sims.   I felt like I was playing a never ending bad DLC that Dragon Age is known for.

auto loot.
I find having to click on every copse annoying. I would prefer if they automatically gave me all the loot after combat is finished, like in mass effect 1

Only in the Chuck Norris DLC will dead enemies automatically give you all their loot.

In DA3 and BW games in general, I'd like to see a return to the 4 major quests w/side quests recipe.

I liked the long, taxing quests. By the time I stumbled out of them, dragging my injured party behind me--I felt like I had really been....on a Quest.

I've already given up on DA3, other owners of Dragon's Dogma who have played the previous two DA game have probably done the same.

I was going to post ideas then changed my mind, Bioware already know what we want, it’s up to them what they do.

same here, but i have this feeling not because of plot, but because of overall gameplay. As many others i canceled preorder soon after few minutes of demo.

The only reason to play DA2 is Arishok, the only and one well made character in entire game.

Ah, Dragon's Dogma. An incredibly addicting game that hearkens back to the good old days of classic dungeon crawling. But it can't keep anyone satisfied forever. For all its fun combat, it lacks the characters and storyline of a BioWare-made game. It's a breath of fresh air now, but after a while that air will start to taste a little stale.

Keep Hawke as the protagonist. Have at least Merrill and Varric, and a Grey Warden as companions.

Gameplay: Bring back multiple races! I know a lot of people want this, and I count myself among them. Even if they don't get independant origin stories. its really great to customise your character as much as possible. Thats half the fun in an RPG. Although Hawke being a human made sense for the story, limiting us to a human felt like a real step back, which isn't what I expect from a video game sequel. I echo the OP when I say I enjoyed the combat, one of DA2's real strengths. For me at least, it was the best RPG combat I've experianced. Do get rid of the respawning enemies, though. In addition, it would be nice to have more diverse armor morphs. My mage Hawke only had about 5 outfits to choose from, with many completely different sets reusing skins. Compared to the wealth of armor morphs in DAO, this felt like another step back. On a similar note, although I liked each companion having a distinct look, I also liked being able to customise their armor. I read a couple articles about combining the two via general "themes", and I think that's a great way to go.
Story: Explain what happened to Hawke. I imagine the expansion was going to do that, but now that thats been cancelled this should be done in the next full sequel. Perhaps even bring him back as the lead; cassandra did keep saying he was the only person who could stop the war, etc. Oh, and the warden. Closure there would be nice too (at least, for the people who's wardens didn't croak in DAO). I understand the difficulty in putting such a customisable character in the game, but a codex entry explaining what happened to her would be enough for me. More of Morrigan would be nice to; many unanswered questions about her remain. Whats behind that mirror? What is she planning? What "great gift" was in the book she gave to the warden at the end of "Witch Hunt"? Basically, wrap up the loose ends from the first two games. Also, bring back Leliana. She's French, so she fits with the setting, she's already wrapped up in the story, and she was a companion in the 1st game. A great choice for a repeating party member, no?

Story: I would like the story to revolve around either the Mage Templar war that was started in DA2. I would also like to finally find out who/what Flemeth is.

Choices and consequences: I want there to be more consequences for my choices. I want to have to really think about my options and weigh consequences of my choice the before picking. I want there to be consequences for every choice, good or bad.

Dialogue: I want a voiced Protagonist and I would also like to be able to pick my own race. (don't know if that's possible with a voiced Protagonist) I also would like the symbols (the ones that were in the center of the dialogue wheel) to return in someway. I would also like the auto dialog to be kept at a minimal.

Combat: I think that DA3's combat should be in between DA:O and DA2. I think that is they slowed down the combat speed a little and refined the animations that it should be better. I also want there to be an option to disable auto-attack I really hate auto-attack. also get rid of the enemy waves, or at least use them at the right time! Not every fight should consist of waves.

classes: I want each class to feel, play, and look unique. I would also like Blood mages to feel powerful. enemy blood mages are really powerful when you fight them but when your one, your not as powerful. I also think that if they do allow all of the classes to use all of the weapons, they shouldn't have the same talents and animations.

Import/carryover feature: I don't think that DA3 should have this option. Instead it should have a check list which you can customize, and then also have a default list. this option will be better in two ways. 1, The QA testers shouldn't have to deal with as many Import/carryover glitches, and 2 It will allow new players (and old ones) to have more control over what carry's over without having to play the past DA games.

Loot: I want more unique weapons and armor. In both DA games there was so many reused weapons and armor with just different colors. I would also like the loot to be good. Half the loot in DA2 went right to the "junk" section of the inventory screen.

More character interactions. I loved the banter in the DA games and I would really like to see more of that. I would also like to have more companion quests.

Improve the romance scene's: I think that the romance scene's in DA3 should be like the one in ME3. It should also take longer to achieve romance with a character. I always found it odd that you could reach the end of the romance just by talking to your LI a few times. I liked how DA2 did the romance where it took a few years for you to officially achieve the romance.

No more reused dungeons. I don't think I have to say anything here.

More places to explore: In DA:O we had a decent size map but most of the locations were town's and city's where as DA2 you were only in a city. In DA3 I would like to see an big map with many different locations in it.

I also want an option to change my companions when ever I am in a town like I could in DA:O.

That's all I can think of right now.

I enjoyed aspects of both DA and DA2; the overall freedom of choice and the like in DA:O, and the voice acting and smoother combat of DA2(story wasn't bad either; I might be one of the few who liked the story).

Combining them together into DA3 would be awesome(have the smooth combat, minus the button mashing, of DA2 together with the excellent story and characters of DA:O). I

For the love of Thedas, if you absolutely MUST include MP, do not allow it to effect SP endings.

I may not be up to date with whats been annouced and what ever but I have some ideas that would make DA3 fantastic.

Firstly I heard the "story" of the Warden from the first game is over. NO, thats something that will have alot of people crying, maybe everyone that played DA:O and Awakening will be on the list of sob.

Secondly as above I also heard Hawke's story has also ended, although both Hawke and the Warden "may appear" in DA3. LAME, and there you have all the DA2 fans added to the list of sob,

To fix this I have an idea of sort which would be quite fantastic. Now I am not against having a 3rd and freshly new character to star in the new game, actually I'm all for it and to make it different I have a few ideas on how to make this new character different from the others.

I'll leave the story and **** to you experts, but I believe the new DA3 protagonist, the Warden and Hawke should all be in the game as playable members or party members ect.

Now as we learnt through mainly the first Dragon Age game there are different types of Darkspawn, some can talk and have free will for example, I think this leads us to a fantasic way to bring out something new. Yes I am saying our new star should be of Darkspawn origins, now i'm not saying make him/her one of those ugly bastards, a "humanised" version of Darkspawn, intelligent able to speak and even sexy to keep the others happy (prolly everyone).

Now to keep the plot not retarded a logical thing we could include is how say our 3 characters meet. Now at the end of DA2 we learn that the Warden and Hawke have disappeared, where did they go? Well maybe they were drawn to the same place, a place in the deeproads where crazy experiments or some crazy **** appears to be happening, and at this place is where our new protagonist starts his/hers journey, being born seperate from the horde and being put to the sword for that reason alone BAM **** happens and incomes the Grey Warden with some men hacking and slashing Darkspawn ****ers left and right when the Warden comes to be saved by the player.

From there the Warden and the new star party up to get the **** out of this **** when BAM trolls and crazy **** arrive, well looks like we are going to die and then out of nowhere Hawke is here to save the day doing something related to what class he was in the players original playthrough, kills some trolls and joins the party with the Warden and the new star.

Hopefully that sounds like something that can ducktap ALL our favorite characters into one happy party, giving fans there characters back and into action. Now as to why they are following this bloody Darkspawn, lolz? Well thats something that can be put under the microscope maybe but perhaps the reason originally of why the Warden and Hawke are mysteriously drawn to this hole in the deeproads is because they have had a vision of the end of the world and that there was one thing that could save the world from whatever you have planned for the stories conflict. That being this Darkspawn the Anakin Skywalker of Dragon Age, whatever.

So to sum it up, I think it would be ****ing AWESOME to be partying with your 2 original toons the same way you originally had em, and even having them as unswappable party members, so you have to keep both the Warden and Hawke in your party whilst adding 2 others (or 3, whatever). On that note as for the conversation system, I heard it will be like DA2, ME3 sounds good and since all 3 of your characters are there maybe you could have the decision making script (what you tell your toon to say) linked to the 3 characters so for example, someone asks you for a cookie and you get A: Sure hear you are, B: Laugh, C: Tell them to **** off, then maybe have say if you click C Hawke will come up and tell the NPC to **** off, yet if you choose A, the Warden will come up and give the NPC a cookie. Maybe have these choices shifted down to Paragon and Renegade and say if your Hawke was bad and your Warden is good they will most likely carry out those options, or if both your Warden and Hawke are paragon then have your new star shove the **** in the face of that annoying NPC, from that your new star is also being influenced by the Warden and Hawke since they are also interacting. Have your renegade Hawke doing badass things reward you with more points then say not having a renegade toon and your doing the badass **** on your Darkspawn.

Edit: **** I forgot to add, Flemeth... yeah be awesome to have as a party member, maybe have her save all 3 of them when they try to escape the deeproads, for the Warden and Hawke to get visions BAM maybe she was the one that actually sent them!

Now I could go on and on but **** I need to head to bed I'm tired as ****, I'm sure there was some more I wanted to include but yeah... typing. And OMFG as for DLC make it free or shove it up your ass cause its totally ****ing retarded.

GG, don't **** it up Bioware, tell EA to suck your **** or something, ****.

i dont see how anyone expects the warden to come back in any capacity besides codex/letters or word of mouth, someone saying otherwise is fooling themselves, methinks

hawke, on the other hand, can be as much as a companion in DA3 because of consistent voice actor

I would like a mute button for the PC. I know that will probably take away a lot of the edge to the cinematics, which is fine by me, but if it is option that is not the default setting it should be fine. It was quite frustrating playing a male mage in DA2 with that particular voice since, in my opinion, it is too... butch (probably poor choice of word but you get what i mean).

I would also like to be able to slow down the speed of the combat. I was so stressed out by the speed of combat in DA2 even though i paused the combat every five seconds. I like to pause and issue commands and sit back and watch these commands being executed without have to pause again five seconds later. One thing i loved that you implemented in DA2 was the move command on the PS3, i hope we will see that again. I would also like the combat animations return closer to what it was in DA:O. A mage shouldn't need to do a 360 every time he wants to use his staff and it would be nice if the warrior wielding the heavy two-hander actually swings it like it actually weights something.

I would also love the return of skills in DA3. I really missed having the persuasion- and stealing skills in DA2. Having all those different crafting and social skills really increases the replayability of the game.

I apologize for the poor grammar, English isn't my native language.

Like the OP says:

1 More of an epic story is needed.

2 Stop the useless focus on multiplayer... I don't get it! All the people I know that play BioWare's games don't care about the multiplayer features. And personally I have to say that when I buy a BioWare game, I look forward to play it ALONE. I sit myself back, allow myself to be sucked into the story and the enviornment. If I want a multiplayer game I play a MMO game, not a RPG supposedly singleplayer game.

3 Do NOT copy skyrim. I read on wikipedia that BioWare was going to look "aggressively" on openworld games like Skyrim. Skyrim failed in my opinion because there are not enough dialogues, not enough choices, not enough epic stories, not enough cutscenes and sophisticated companions. It's just not the BioWare type of RPG that BioWare built their success upon.

4 Look back at DA: Origins. I believe that was the best game in the DA legacy. BioWare had all the right ideas for that game.

5 More companion dialogues. More focus on companion quests (ME2 had a good system of companion quests)

BioWare were the gods of RPG's. I hope they can reclaim that title.
